Anyone else notice how the wait times got way worse after covid? Its like they never recovered from the backlog 🤔
Yep, it's a mess. I heard they lost a bunch of staff and never replaced them. Classic government move 🙄
Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help speed things up if you're really stuck.
Plot twist: the EDD is actually run by a bunch of sloths 🦥 That's why everything takes foreverrrrr
LOL 😂 That explains so much!
Hey, quick question - when you say "automatic payment," do you mean SDI or UI? The process can be different depending on which one you're dealing with.
Oh, good point! I'm dealing with UI. Should've mentioned that in my original post.
anyone else feel like were living in a dystopian novel? government cant even do its basic job of helping people when they need it smh
For real tho. It's like they're playing games with our lives 🤡
Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online interaction. You never know when you might need to prove you've been trying to resolve an issue.
FYI - there was a system update on March 10th that caused some delays in processing. Your tests might be caught in that backlog. Still worth calling to check tho!
Where'd you hear about this update? I can never find any official info 🙄
sending good vibes ur way OP! 💖 dealing w/ EDD is the worst. hope u get it sorted soon!

Hey OP, hang in there! We've all been in the same boat. It's frustrating but it'll work out eventually. Just keep at it and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. We're all here supporting each other! 💪
