EDD: Need help with medical clearance forms & reporting income - what to expect?

Hey everyone, I need some advice. I have to submit forms for continued medical clearance and report some income. Has anyone gone through this process recently? What should I expect? Any tips on making sure everything goes smoothly? I'm a bit nervous about messing something up and delaying my benefits.

Ugh, I feel ya. I just went through this last month. It's a pain, but not impossible. Make sure you have ALL your medical docs ready - they want everything. For the income part, be super detailed. Even if you think it's not important, report it. Better safe than sorry!

This ⬆️ 💯 I learned the hard way about reporting income. They caught a small gig I did and it messed up my whole claim. Not worth the hassle!

how detailed we talkin? like, if i sold some old clothes online, do i gotta report that too? 🤔

Yep, technically you should report even small stuff like that. It's a pain, but it covers your butt if they ever audit you.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? thats highway robbery man

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Can you explain more about how it works? Do they give you a specific time when they'll call you back?

0 coins

Yeah, so you choose the number you want them to call, pay, and then they start calling right away. When they get a real person, they connect you. Usually takes like 30-60 mins.

Pro tip: Keep a folder with all your medical docs and income info. Makes it way easier when you need to submit stuff. Also, set reminders for yourself about deadlines. The system won't always notify you and missing a deadline can really screw things up.

am i the only 1 who thinks its ridiculous we gotta jump thru all these hoops? like, were already dealing with health issues, now we gotta be expert paper pushers too? 🙄

Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul. It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.

Here's a comprehensive guide based on my experience: 1. Medical Clearance Forms: - Get all your medical records in order - Ask your doctor to fill out the continuation forms ASAP - Make copies of EVERYTHING before submitting 2. Reporting Income: - Keep a detailed log of ALL income, no matter how small - Include dates, amounts, and sources - Be prepared to provide documentation (invoices, bank statements, etc.) 3. Submission Process: - Double-check all forms for completeness - Submit well before the deadline - Keep proof of submission (fax confirmations, certified mail receipts, etc.) 4. Follow-up: - Call to confirm receipt of your documents - Keep a log of all communications (dates, names, reference numbers) Remember, it's better to over-report than under-report. Good luck!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed breakdown! This is incredibly helpful. Quick question - how long did the whole process take for you from start to finish?

Glad it helps! For me, it took about 3 weeks from when I started gathering docs to when I got confirmation that everything was processed. But it can vary depending on your specific situation and how backed up the system is.

Anyone else notice that the online system is always "down for maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🤡

OMG YES! It's like they know exactly when I'm free to do this stuff and shut it down just to mess with me 😂

Pro tip: try accessing the site late at night or early morning. Less traffic, fewer issues.

Hey OP, don't stress too much. I know it seems overwhelming, but take it step by step. And remember, if you make a mistake, it's not the end of the world. You can usually call and get it sorted out. Hang in there!
