Need help recertifying EDD benefits - how to reach the right rep?
Hey everyone, I'm really stressed out about recertifying for my benefits. I need to extend them but I'm not sure how to go about it. Does anyone know how to get in touch with the right person who can help me fill out the form correctly and make sure it was received? This whole process is giving me anxiety and I could use some guidance.

I feel ya, OP. The recertification process can be a real pain. Have you tried calling the main EDD number? Sometimes you can get lucky and reach someone who knows what they're talking about.

•Yeah, I've been trying to call for days but keep getting stuck in the automated system. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. You might have a better chance of getting through to a real person.

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com. It's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? 😬 Kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what you need to do for recertification: 1. Log into your UI Online account 2. Click on 'Certify for Benefits' 3. Answer all questions honestly 4. Submit the form 5. Keep an eye on your inbox for any follow-up messages If you're still unsure, try to schedule a phone appointment through the EDD website. It might take a while, but at least you'll get to speak with someone directly. Good luck!

•Thank you so much for breaking it down like this! It's really helpful. I'll give it a shot.

•This is great advice. I'd add: make sure to print or screenshot your confirmation page after submitting. It's saved my butt before when they claimed they never received my form.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? Sometimes they can help push things through with EDD.

•This! 👆 My assemblyman's office was a game-changer. They got my issue resolved in like a week after I'd been struggling for months.

•I didn't even know this was an option. How do I find my assembly member?

•Just google '[your city] california assembly member'. Their office should have a way to contact them for help with state agencies.

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? 🤔 It's like they're hoping we'll just stop trying to get the benefits we're entitled to.

•Preach! 🙌 It's a total clown show. But we gotta keep fighting for what's ours!

•Conspiracy theory: they make it hard on purpose so people just give up and they save money 🤡

Hey OP, just wanted to say hang in there. We're all in the same boat, and it sucks, but you'll get through this. Don't let the stress get to you too much. 💪
