Help with EDD recertification form - How to confirm receipt?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to recertify to extend my benefits and I'm feeling a bit lost. Does anyone know how to make sure I'm filling out the form correctly? Also, is there a way to confirm if they've received it? I really need this to go through smoothly.

Ugh, been there done that. The recertification process is such a pain! š Have you tried calling their helpline? It took me HOURS to get through, but they were actually pretty helpful once I finally spoke to someone.

ā¢Calling the helpline? More like entering the 9th circle of hell š I swear they make it difficult on purpose!

ā¢Fr tho, I'd rather get a root canal than call that helpline again š

Pro tip: double-check every single field on that form. I made a tiny mistake on mine and it delayed my benefits for weeks. Also, take pictures of the completed form before you submit it, just in case.

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Listen up, because I've been through this rodeo more times than I care to admit. Here's what you need to do: ⢠First, grab a copy of your previous certification form if you have it. Use it as a reference. ⢠Go through each question slowly and carefully. If you're unsure about anything, leave it blank for now. ⢠For the tricky parts, check their official website. They usually have guides or FAQs that can help. ⢠If you still have questions, write them down. You'll need these when you call. ⢠Before submitting, triple-check everything. Seriously, one wrong box can mess it all up. ⢠After you submit, take a screenshot of the confirmation page. This is your proof. ⢠To check if they received it, you can try logging into your account after a day or two. Sometimes there's a status update. ⢠If you don't see any update after a week, that's when you need to call. Use the trick someone mentioned above to get through quickly. Remember, patience is key here. The system sucks, but you'll get through it. Good luck!

Anyone else feel like we need a complete overhaul of this system? It's 2023 and we're still dealing with forms that look like they're from 1985 smh

ā¢Bold of you to assume they're using computers at all š

Hey OP, just a heads up - make sure you're keeping track of all your job search activities. They might ask for proof during the recertification process. I learned that the hard way š

Does anyone know if the recertification requirements have changed recently? I heard a rumor that they're being more strict now, but I can't find any official info.

ā¢I recertified last month and it seemed pretty much the same as always. Maybe it depends on your state?
