Filed weekly UI claim but completely disappeared - no pending status or alerts showing

So I'm really confused right now. I filed my weekly unemployment claim this past Sunday night and I'm positive I hit the final submit button (even remember seeing the confirmation page). But when I logged into my ESD account today to check the status, there's absolutely nothing showing up. No pending payment, no claim for the week, nothing. What's weird is that in the past when I forgot to hit the final 'submit' button, the system would show an alert telling me I still needed to complete my claim. But now there's no alert at all - it's like I never even started filing for this week. Has anyone experienced their claim completely disappearing like this? I'm worried about missing a payment since I definitely need it for rent next week. Any ideas what could be happening or what I should do?

This happened 2 me last month!! the esd website glitched when i was submiting my claim. had 2 call them & they said there system sometimes drops claims if theres maintenance or high traffic. super annoying

Oh no, that's frustrating! Did they make you refile or were they able to find your original submission somehow? I'm worried about missing this week's payment cycle.

I experienced this exact issue in January. The problem is sometimes the ESD system will accept your claim submission but fail to record it in their database. This typically happens during high traffic periods or when they're doing background updates. You should call ESD immediately - don't wait. Each day you delay could push back your payment. When you call, explain that you completed and submitted your weekly claim but it's not showing in your account history. They can manually verify and enter your claim on their end. Make sure to have your work search activities documented in case they ask.

Yep totally agree with this advice! The same thing happened to me. The ESD rep told me they were having database syncing issues that week. Don't wait hoping it'll magically appear because it won't.

I know exactly what you're dealing with! The ESD system has been super finicky lately. I had the same problem twice this year. What worked for me was using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an actual ESD agent quickly instead of waiting on hold for hours. They have this service that helps you get through the phone system and connects you with a live person who can fix these issues right away. There's a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent I got was able to see that my claim was actually stuck in their system and manually pushed it through. Got my payment only 2 days later instead of waiting weeks for it to resolve itself.

Is that service legit? Sounds kinda sketchy to me. No offense but how can some random website get you through to ESD faster than just calling yourself?

Listen, this is EXACTLY why I keep telling people to take screenshots every time they file their weekly claim!!! The ESD system is GARBAGE and they'll always blame YOU for their mistakes! I've been dealing with their broken website for 14 months now and I've learned you need proof of EVERYTHING. They once tried to tell me I didn't file for 3 weeks when I absolutely did. Without my screenshots I would have been screwed out of almost $2,500!!! DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!!

I wish I had taken screenshots now... definitely will start doing that every week from now on. Did you ever have any luck getting through on the phone to them?

There was actually a system update scheduled for last Sunday evening that might be related to your issue. ESD sometimes runs maintenance during lower-traffic periods, and claim data can occasionally be affected during these updates. The good news is that your claim information is probably still in their system somewhere, just not displaying correctly on the front end. Here's what you should do: 1. First, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then log in again. Sometimes it's just a display issue. 2. If that doesn't work, call the claims center as early as possible in the morning (right when they open at 8 AM is best). 3. When you speak with an agent, ask them specifically to check for "pending submissions" or "unprocessed claims" in their system. 4. If they confirm there's no record of your submission, ask them to manually enter your weekly claim while you're on the phone. Importantly, even if you have to refile, as long as it's within the same week or within a reasonable timeframe, there shouldn't be any issues with your benefits continuity.

This is great advice - especially calling right at 8am! Though even then I was on hold for over 90 minutes last time I tried. That's why I ended up using Claimyr - got through in about 15 minutes instead. But either way, don't wait to call!

has anyone else had there claim just disapear after like 4 weeks of filing? mine did that in december and i couldnt get anyone on the phone but then it just randomly started working again the next week. the esd people told me later it was cuz my employer disputed something??? but they never told me until i finally got thru on the phone

That's strange! No, this is the first time I've had an issue. I've been claiming for about 7 weeks now with no problems until this week. My employer shouldn't be disputing anything, but who knows...

Thanks, I'll definitely check again first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed it magically appears!

Just an update to my earlier comment - I just checked and ESD actually posted on their Twitter account yesterday that they were experiencing "temporary display issues with claim history for some users" and that they're working on resolving it. So there's a good chance your claim was actually received but just isn't showing up in your account. Still worth calling to confirm though!

Thank you so much for checking! That makes me feel a bit better. I'll still try calling tomorrow morning to make sure, but maybe it's just a display issue like you mentioned. Really appreciate the update!

I had this exact same thing happen to me about 6 months ago! Filed my claim on Sunday, got the confirmation page, but then it was like it never existed. I was panicking because I really needed that payment. What I found out was that sometimes when you hit submit, it looks like it went through on your end but there's actually a server timeout or connection issue that prevents it from being fully processed on their end. The confirmation page you saw might have been cached or displayed before the final database write failed. I ended up having to call ESD (took me 3 tries over 2 days to get through) and they were able to see that I had started the claim but it never completed. The rep manually processed it for me over the phone and I got my payment just one day later than usual. Don't stress too much - this is apparently more common than they like to admit, and they can usually fix it pretty quickly once you get someone on the line.

This is really helpful to know! I was wondering if maybe the confirmation page I saw wasn't actually real confirmation. It's reassuring to hear that they were able to fix it for you so quickly once you got through to someone. I'm definitely going to try calling first thing tomorrow morning. Did you have to provide any specific information when you called, or did they just look it up based on your account?

I'm dealing with this exact issue right now too! Filed my weekly claim on Sunday and it's completely gone from my account - no trace of it anywhere. I've been filing for about 3 months with no problems until this week. Reading through these comments, it sounds like this is unfortunately pretty common with the ESD system. I'm planning to call them first thing tomorrow morning at 8 AM sharp based on everyone's advice here. Really hoping it's just a display issue like Donna mentioned about their Twitter post. Has anyone had luck getting through to them later in the day, or is early morning really the only way to avoid those crazy hold times?

I've had better luck calling around 10-11 AM actually! Yeah, everyone says 8 AM is best, but I think so many people try that time that it's actually busier then. When I called around 10:30 last time I had an issue, I only waited about 45 minutes on hold. Still not great, but way better than the 2+ hours I waited when I tried calling right at 8. Worth a shot if the early morning doesn't work out for you!

This is actually happening to more people than you'd think! I work in IT and what's likely happening is that your claim submission hit a database transaction timeout - basically the system accepted your data but failed to commit it to the permanent records due to high server load or a network hiccup. The confirmation page you saw was probably generated before the final database write, which is why it seemed like everything went through normally. The good news is that ESD usually has logs of these failed transactions and can recover your submission data. When you call them (definitely do this ASAP), ask specifically if they can check their "incomplete transaction logs" for your SSN on Sunday's date. I've seen this exact issue with other government systems and they almost always have your data somewhere in their system, just not in the right place. Don't wait hoping it'll appear - these orphaned transactions rarely resolve themselves automatically.

This is really helpful technical insight! I had no idea about database transaction timeouts - that actually explains perfectly what I experienced. The confirmation page did seem normal, so knowing it could have been generated before the final write makes total sense. I'm definitely going to call tomorrow and specifically ask about those "incomplete transaction logs" you mentioned. Thanks for explaining what's probably happening behind the scenes - makes me feel much more confident that my claim data is somewhere in their system and can be recovered!

I'm so sorry this happened to you! I just went through the exact same thing two weeks ago and it was incredibly stressful. Like others have mentioned, this seems to be a known issue with the ESD system. What helped me was calling at exactly 8:00 AM on a Tuesday (avoid Mondays if possible - they're swamped). When I got through, the representative was able to find my "lost" claim in their system within minutes and manually processed it. She explained that these technical glitches are more frequent than they'd like to admit, especially on Sunday evenings when server traffic is high. The key is to call as soon as possible because each day you wait can delay your payment. Also, when you call, have your work search log ready just in case they ask about it during the manual filing process. You should be able to get this resolved quickly once you reach someone!
