Weekly claim option disappeared from ESD account - can't file this week
Has anyone else logged into their ESD account today and found the weekly claim option completely missing? I filed last week without any issues, but when I logged in today to submit my weekly claim, the option is just gone from my dashboard. Nothing has changed with my claim status that I'm aware of. I've checked on both my phone and laptop to make sure it wasn't just a display issue. Really stressing about this since I need that payment to cover rent next week. Anyone experiencing the same thing or know what might be causing this?

I had this exact same problem two weeks ago! The weekly claim button just vanished. Turns out ESD was doing some system maintenance that wasn't announced anywhere on their site. The option came back around 5pm that same day. Maybe check again later today? If it's still gone tomorrow, you definitely need to contact them directly. This could also happen if there's an issue with your claim that requires attention before you can file again.

This happened to me last month. There are a few possible reasons: 1. System maintenance (usually resolves within 24 hours) 2. Your benefit year ended and you need to reapply 3. There's a new issue on your claim requiring adjudication 4. You missed filing for one or more weeks 5. You've exhausted your benefits I'd recommend checking your notices/letters in your ESD account to see if they sent you anything explaining the situation. If the option doesn't return by tomorrow, you'll need to contact ESD.

•I checked my notices and don't see anything new. My benefit year shouldn't be ending yet, and I've been filing consistently. I'm going to try again tonight and hope it's just maintenance.

its hapening to everybody i think. my friend said the same thing hapened to him today. ESD always doing this kind of stuff without warning anybody. so tired of this system

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes the ESD website has weird technical glitches that can be fixed by doing that. Also try using a different browser altogether. Internet Explorer sometimes works better with their system than Chrome or Firefox (weird, I know).

I've been on unemployment since February and this has happened to me TWICE now. Once it was because they flagged my identity for additional verification (even though I'd already done it), and the second time was because they thought I had returned to work (I hadn't). Both times I couldn't file and the button disappeared. The ONLY way I got it resolved was by actually getting through to an ESD agent on the phone. I spent literally days trying to get through until I found Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a system that holds your place in line and calls you when an agent is available. •Thanks for the tip about Claimyr! I'll try the cache clearing and waiting until tomorrow first, but if I still can't see the option by then, I'll definitely look into this service. Really can't afford to miss a payment right now.

Sometimes this happens if your claim requires additional information. Check if you have any alerts or tasks on your account. Another possibility is that they're processing a change to your claim status that you're not aware of yet. When this happened to me, I received a letter in the mail two days AFTER the weekly filing option disappeared.

•Good point about the mail being delayed. ESD often sends physical letters that arrive days after they've already taken action on your account. So frustrating!

UPDATE: The weekly claim option is back now! Looks like it was just temporary maintenance as some of you suggested. I was able to file my claim without any issues. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

•Great to hear! For future reference, ESD sometimes does system maintenance on Sundays (which is unfortunate since that's when many people file). If you file early in the week, you can usually avoid these kinds of issues.
