ESD weekly claim filing system not showing option to file this week - anyone else having issues?

I'm having an issue with filing my husband's weekly claim this morning. He has an active claim that's been working fine up until now, but when I logged in to help him file for this week, the option to file isn't even showing up! His claim status still shows as active and everything else looks normal. He's supposed to file today (Sunday) as usual but the system just isn't giving us that option. We've already tried logging out, clearing browser cache, and even using a different device, but nothing's working. Is the ESD system down or glitched? Anyone else experiencing this problem today? Getting really anxious as we can't afford to miss a week of benefits right now.

omg yes!!!! same here, tried logging in 3 times already and can't find where to submit for this week. thought i was just being stupid and missing something obvious lol. glad (well not glad but you know what i mean) that someone else is having the same problem

This happened to me last month. There are a few things that could be causing this: 1. System maintenance - ESD sometimes takes the weekly claim filing system offline for updates on weekends, usually late Saturday into early Sunday. Try again later today. 2. Claim review flag - If your husband's claim hit some kind of automatic review trigger, the system sometimes temporarily removes the filing option until the review is complete. This doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem. 3. Benefit year ending - Check if your husband's benefit year is ending. If his claim started exactly a year ago, he might need to file a new claim rather than continuing the old one. 4. Technical glitch - It could just be a system error affecting multiple accounts right now. I'd recommend waiting until this evening to see if it resolves, then try calling first thing Monday morning if you still can't file. Remember you have until Saturday to file for the previous week without it being considered late.

its probably just their stupid website being broken again. happens All. The. Time. 🙄 ESD seriously needs to invest in better tech. i bet by tonight it will magically start working again. their systems are always glitching on sundays which is literally the main day people file!!!!

Yeah their site is the worst! I had this problem 2 sundays ago and just waited till evening and it fixed itself. ESD tech is stuck in 2010 I swear

I'm dealing with the same issue right now. Called the automated claims line at 800-318-6022 and it says there's an "unusually high call volume" (when isn't there?) and disconnected me. So frustrating! I'm going to try again in a few hours and hope the website gets fixed. Does anyone know if there's a way to check if the system is officially down or under maintenance? I looked on the ESD website and couldn't find any announcements about outages.

I had this exact problem a couple months back. I ended up using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an ESD agent after trying for days on my own. They have this service that helps you bypass the hold system somehow. They fixed it on their end and I was able to file right after the call. Might be worth trying if it doesn't resolve by tomorrow.

UPDATE: Just wanted to let everyone know it's working now! Just successfully filed my husband's weekly claim. Looks like it was some kind of system glitch that got fixed. For anyone else having this issue, try logging in again now.

Glad to hear it's resolved! For future reference, when this happens again (because let's be honest, it probably will at some point), there are a few official ways to check system status: 1. ESD's Twitter account sometimes posts about known outages 2. The technical support email (esditprod@esd.wa.gov) will sometimes respond with an auto-reply if there's a known issue 3. The recorded message on the main claims line occasionally updates to mention system issues Also remember that even if you can't file on Sunday, you have until Saturday of the following week before it's considered late. So there's usually no need to panic if the system is down for a day.
