Missing weekly claim filing option on ESD website - link disappeared

I'm freaking out a little because I can't file my weekly claim! I've been on UI for about 2 months and every Sunday I file online without issues. But today when I logged into my eServices account, there's no link to file my weekly claim like usual. I tried calling the automated phone system too, but it doesn't give me the option to file either! My benefit year isn't expired and I should have 11 weeks left. Has anyone experienced this before? Is the system glitching or is something wrong with my claim? I really need this week's payment to cover rent.

Same thing happened to me last month!! The link just disappeared for no reason. check if there's any alerts or messages in ur eservices inbox. Mine was bc they flagged something for 'identity verification' and froze my ability to file until I uploaded docs.

Thanks! Just checked and there's nothing in my inbox. No alerts showing up either. Did you call them to fix it or did it just come back on its own?

This typically happens for one of four reasons: 1. Your claim year expired (but you said that's not it) 2. You have an unresolved issue requiring adjudication 3. You missed filing for a previous week 4. System maintenance (though they usually announce this) Check if you received any notices about needed information or if you accidentally missed filing last week. If you skipped a week without a good reason, you may need to reopen your claim.

I definitely filed every week without missing any. But I did have an adjudicator call me last week about my job search activities. They said everything was fine but maybe that's related? Should I wait a day to see if it's just maintenance or call right away?

sounds like ur claim is on hold til adjudication is complete. mine was like this for THREE WEEKS after they questioned one of my job contacts. the phone system won't let u file AND the website option disappears when they put a hold on ur claim. u need to talk to an actual person at ESD

Oh no, I can't go three weeks without payment! Did they backpay you for the weeks you couldn't file once it was resolved? I've been trying to call but can't get through - it just disconnects after the automated message about high call volume.

I had this EXACT problem in February! The weekly claim link just vanished after an adjudicator contacted me. I tried calling for DAYS and couldn't get through. I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an ESD agent. They have this service that connects you with an actual ESD person instead of waiting forever or getting hung up on. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 When I finally got through, the agent told me my claim was on temporary hold pending the adjudicator's decision, but they were able to manually take my weekly claim over the phone so I wouldn't miss getting paid.

does that Claimyr thing actually work? i've seen it mentioned before but seems sketchy to pay for something that should be free

Thanks for the suggestion! At this point I'm willing to try anything. I'll check out that video. Did they backpay you for the weeks you couldn't file online?

Based on my experience working with claimants, your situation sounds like what happens when there's a pending adjudication issue. The adjudicator you spoke with may have placed a temporary hold while they review your job search activities, even if they verbally said everything was fine. Here's what you should do: 1. Try accessing the weekly claim system again tomorrow (sometimes it's just maintenance) 2. Check your Secure Message Center for any new correspondence 3. If you still can't file by Tuesday, you need to speak with an agent And yes, if this is due to adjudication, they will allow you to backfile for any missed weeks once the issue is resolved. Just be sure to keep documenting your job search activities during this time.

Thank you for the detailed response! I'll wait until tomorrow to see if it's just temporary. If I do need to speak with an agent, what's the best time to call? The automated message says they're open 8am-4pm but I can never get through.

The ESD website was doing some scheduled maintenance yesterday according to their Twitter. Have you checked again today? Sometimes the weekly claim link doesn't appear until exactly midnight on Sunday, and other times it's delayed until Monday morning if they're doing backend updates. This happened to me twice and I panicked both times lol

Just checked again and still nothing :( I don't use Twitter so I didn't see any maintenance announcements. I'll keep checking throughout the day. Thanks for giving me a bit of hope that it might just be a delay!

So I tried that Claimyr service and actually got through to ESD! Turns out my claim was put on hold because of a "discrepancy" in my job search activities. The agent was able to take my weekly claim over the phone and told me I should be able to file online again next week once the adjudicator completes their review. She said I'll get a decision letter in my eServices inbox within 10 days. Fingers crossed it resolves quickly!

That's good news! Make sure to keep detailed records of all your job search activities while this is being resolved. For your job search log, include: - Full company name and contact info - Position applied for - Date of application/contact - Method of application (online, in-person, etc.) - Any follow-up actions Having complete documentation will help prevent future holds. And remember, you need 3 job search activities per week - mixing up the types of activities (applications, workshops, networking) can help strengthen your claim.

Thanks for the advice! I've been keeping records but probably not detailed enough. I'll make sure to document everything much more thoroughly going forward. The agent mentioned something about making sure the job contacts are "verifiable" so I think that's where I went wrong.
