ESD system not letting me file weekly claims after Nov 11th - getting hung up on constantly

So I'm completely frustrated with the ESD system right now. I was able to file my weekly claim for the week ending November 11th with no problems, but since then the system hasn't prompted me to file any more weekly claims. When I log into my eServices account, there's no option to file a new claim. I've tried calling the unemployment line every single day for the past two weeks - sometimes 8-10 times per day - but it either disconnects immediately or puts me on hold and then hangs up. I've checked my account multiple times and there are NO pending issues, NO disqualification notices, NO letters in my inbox, literally NOTHING that explains why I suddenly can't file. Has anyone else had their weekly claim filing option just disappear? Did I miss something obvious? I'm starting to panic because bills are piling up and I haven't received any benefits for weeks now.

This EXACT thing happened to me last month! The system just stopped giving me the option to file. Turned out my benefit year had ended and I needed to open a new claim, but of course ESD doesn't actually TELL you this clearly. Check your benefit year end date on your claim summary page - that might be what's going on.

Omg you might be onto something. Where exactly do I find the benefit year end date? I've been scrolling through all the pages but there's so many different sections I'm not sure where to look.

There are a few possibilities here: 1. Your benefit year expired (as someone else mentioned) 2. You reached your maximum benefit amount 3. There's an eligibility issue that hasn't been flagged properly in the system 4. You have an adjudication pending that isn't showing correctly First, check your claim summary page for your benefit year end date. If that's not it, look at your remaining balance - if it's zero, you've exhausted benefits. Also, sometimes ESD's system glitches and you need to clear your browser cache and cookies or try a different browser altogether. That fixed a similar issue for me once.

Thanks for the detailed response! I checked my remaining balance and it's definitely not zero - I should have several thousand $ left. I'll try clearing my cache and using a different browser right now. If that doesn't work, I guess I somehow need to actually reach a human at ESD...

have u tried filing at exactly midnight on sunday? sometimes the system only shows the filing option during specific time windows. also check ur spam folder for any ESD emails they might have sent u

I haven't tried right at midnight, that's a good idea. I'll set an alarm for 11:58pm this Sunday and give it a shot. And just checked my spam folder - nothing from ESD in there either. This is so weird!

I went through something similar and it turned out I needed to verify my identity AGAIN even though I'd already done it when I first applied. The system didn't notify me properly. Try looking for any identity verification requests or check if there's a link to verify identity through ID.me on your dashboard. Their system is honestly terrible at communicating when something is wrong.

This is actually a really common issue right now. ESD implemented new security measures this year, and many people are being required to re-verify through ID.me. The annoying part is the system often doesn't clearly notify you about this requirement. Check your correspondence history too - sometimes notices get buried there without generating an alert.

The same exact thing happened to my brother last year and he thought he was going crazy! Turns out he had accidentally gotten his account locked by entering the wrong password too many times. The system didn't tell him it was locked - it just stopped showing the weekly claim option! Try resetting your password completely, might fix it.

That's interesting - I haven't been getting any 'account locked' messages, but at this point I'll try anything. Just reset my password and still no weekly claim option showing up. This is so frustrating!

After trying for WEEKS to reach ESD about a similar issue (mine was an adjudication that mysteriously disappeared from my dashboard), I finally found a service called Claimyr that got me through to an ESD agent in about 25 minutes. It basically keeps dialing for you and holds your place in line. I was skeptical but it actually worked - I finally got answers about my missing claim options. You might want to check out their video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 or go to claimyr.com. Seriously saved my sanity after trying to call ESD myself for days.

does that actually work? seems sketchy to have someone else calling for u

UPDATE: So I FINALLY got through to ESD this morning after trying that Claimyr service someone mentioned. Turns out there was a "potential fraud alert" on my account that wasn't showing up anywhere in my online portal! The agent was able to remove the flag and reset my weekly claim access. She said they've been dealing with a ton of fraud attempts so their system is being extra cautious, but she admitted their notification system is flawed. My weekly claim option is back now! For anyone else experiencing this - keep trying to reach them because there might be something happening behind the scenes that you can't see online.

Glad you got it resolved! This is actually a known issue with their system right now. Those fraud alerts are triggered by various things (logging in from a new device, IP address changes, etc.) but the system often fails to display notifications about them. Thanks for updating us on what happened!

i had same problem turns out i needed to verify work search activities from previous weeks that i forgot to enter, check if theres a alert about work search somewhere in your account maybe? esd is super picky about the 3 job search activities now

This is a good point. The system will sometimes restrict your ability to file new weekly claims if you haven't properly documented your job search activities. Make sure you're entering your 3 required job search activities each week and keeping detailed records. The work search requirements became much stricter after the pandemic programs ended.
