ESD eServices login loop - can't access my account since Tuesday

I've been trying to sign into eServices since Tuesday to file my weekly claim and it keeps sending me back to the sign-in page in an endless loop. I enter my username/password correctly, click login, it looks like it's processing, then dumps me right back to the login screen without any error message. Tried different browsers (Chrome and Edge), cleared cache, even tried on my phone - same problem everywhere! Anyone else experiencing this? My claim week ends tomorrow and I'm worried about missing my payment. Has ESD announced any system issues?

At least I'm not alone! Have you tried calling them yet? I'm wondering if there's a system-wide issue they know about.

This is a known issue with the ESD system right now. They're doing some maintenance that was supposed to end last night but apparently is still causing problems. If you log in through the SecureAccess Washington (SAW) portal first at secure.esd.wa.gov instead of directly through eServices, some people have had success. Make sure you're completely logged out of both systems before trying again. If your claim week deadline is tomorrow, they usually give a 3-day grace period when there are system issues.

Thank you! I'll try the SAW portal route. Didn't think of that. Appreciate the info about the grace period too - that's a relief.

Had same problem! Kept sending me back to login page over and over!! So annoying when you're just trying to do your weekly claim!!

This is a browser cache issue in most cases. Try these steps in this exact order: 1. Close ALL browser windows completely 2. Clear your browser cache (in Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data) 3. Restart your computer (don't skip this step) 4. Use incognito/private browsing mode 5. Go directly to secure.esd.wa.gov (not through a bookmark) 6. Log in with your SAW credentials I work with unemployment claimants regularly and this fixes the login loop about 80% of the time. The other 20% is usually during their scheduled maintenance windows (typically Tuesday nights 8pm-midnight).

Thanks for the detailed instructions! I followed all the steps exactly and it WORKED! Was able to submit my weekly claim. For anyone else with this problem, follow these steps carefully - especially the computer restart part.

I had this EXACT SAME PROBLEM for TWO WEEKS!!! ESD is completely useless! I called them 37 times and either got hung up on or was on hold forever!!! Their system is deliberately designed to prevent people from accessing benefits we PAID FOR with our taxes!!!

I feel your pain! When I had adjudication issues last month I couldn't get through for days. Have you tried using Claimyr? It's a service that helps you get through to ESD without the endless redials. I used it after wasting hours trying to get through. You can check them out at claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. It got me connected to a rep in about 25 minutes instead of days of trying.

I noticed that if you try logging in during off-peak hours (like early morning before 8am or late evening after 8pm), the login issues are less common. I think their servers get overloaded during daytime hours. Also make sure your password hasn't expired - they require changes every 90 days and don't always notify you clearly when it's time to update.

i tried the incognito thing someone mentioned above and it worked for me too!!! weird that such a simple fix does the trick.

Just as an FYI for everyone, ESD just posted on their Twitter/X account that they resolved the login issues as of 3:30pm today. All systems should be functioning normally now. If you're still experiencing problems, it might be something specific to your account and you should call the technical support line at 855-682-0785.

Thanks for the update! System seems to be working normally for me now too. Was able to log in directly without the workarounds.
