ESD website stuck on 'Read and Certify' screen - can't submit weekly claim
Is anyone else having problems with the ESD website? For the past two days I've been trying to file my weekly claim but keep getting stuck on the 'Read and Certify' screen. I click the button but nothing happens - it just sits there. I've tried using different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, even Edge), cleared my cache, restarted my computer... nothing works! I really need to get this claim filed before the weekend or I'll miss this week's payment which I absolutely cannot afford right now. My internet connection is fine for everything else. Has the ESD website been glitchy lately or is it just me? Any suggestions would be super helpful!

•Oh no, I was hoping it was just me! Did you try calling them? I'm worried about missing the filing deadline.

I had this exact same problem last week. The 'Read and Certify' screen has a JavaScript issue that sometimes doesn't register your click properly. Try these troubleshooting steps: 1. Use incognito/private browsing mode 2. Make sure you've disabled any ad blockers or script blockers 3. Try a completely different device if possible (tablet instead of computer) 4. If all else fails, you can file your weekly claim by phone using the automated system at 800-318-6022 The phone system is actually pretty straightforward for weekly claims. You'll need your SSN and PIN ready.

•Thank you so much! I'll try the incognito mode first and if that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to use the phone system. Really appreciate the help!

UGH I HATE THE ESD WEBSITE!!! Been dealing with these stupid glitches for MONTHS now. Sometimes it's the Read and Certify screen, sometimes it's the job search verification page, sometimes it just randomly logs me out mid-claim. And then when you try to call? GOOD LUCK getting through to anyone who can actually help fix the problem. Their whole system is designed to make us give up, I swear.

•I feel your pain. Had similar issues back in January. The website is so outdated it's ridiculous.

I work in IT and have helped several people with this specific ESD issue. The 'Read and Certify' bug happens because of how their system handles session cookies and form validation. A few additional tricks to try: 1. Try at a different time of day (their servers get overloaded during peak hours) 2. Use the TAB key to navigate to the button and press ENTER instead of clicking 3. Make sure your browser is fully updated If you absolutely need to speak with an ESD agent about this or other claim issues, I recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have a service that helps you get through to ESD agents without waiting for hours. They've got a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3 I was skeptical at first, but it saved me hours of frustration when I had an adjudication issue.

•Thank you for the detailed suggestions! I'll try the TAB key method right now. If that doesn't work I might check out that Claimyr service - waiting on hold for hours isn't something I can do with my work schedule.

Just wanted to let you know that this happened to me 2 weeks ago and it was because the system was doing maintenance. Check if you're trying during their scheduled maintenance times (usually late night/early morning). Also, remember you have until Saturday at 11:59pm to submit your weekly claim without it being considered late, so don't panic yet!

UPDATE: The TAB key method worked! I was able to finally get past the Read and Certify screen by using Tab to highlight the button and then pressing Enter. Submitted my claim successfully. Thank you all for your help! For anyone else having this issue, definitely try the keyboard navigation instead of mouse clicking.

•Great news! Glad that worked for you. It's such a simple fix but not intuitive at all. This is a known issue with their form validation code that they haven't prioritized fixing.

I had a similiar problem but it was actually cuz I was answering one of the questions wrong. The system doesnt tell you which question is wrong it just gets stuck. For me it was the question about being able/available for work - I said no because I had a doctors appointment one day but apparently thats not what they mean by that question. Once I changed my answer it went through fine. Maybe double check your answers?

•That's interesting - I didn't consider that! My claim is working now but I'll keep this in mind for the future. The questions can be so confusing sometimes.
