ESD website login issues today - anyone else getting 'system spoofed' messages?

Is anyone else struggling with the ESD website this morning? I've been trying to file my weekly claim for the past hour but the system is crawling. Pages take forever to load, and I keep getting weird security messages saying 'their system is getting spoofed' and to be 'extra careful'... I did a system test on my computer and everything is fine on my end. Super frustrating because my claim is already delayed and I just need to complete this one thing! Anyone know if ESD is having technical issues today or if there's a workaround?

ESD's website has been having intermittent issues all week. Their IT department sent out a notice yesterday about increased security measures due to attempted fraud. Try using a different browser or clearing your cache - that worked for me after facing similar problems on Chrome. Also, early morning (before 7am) or late evening (after 8pm) tends to have less traffic on their servers.

SAME ISSUE HERE!! Been trying since 6am and getting nowhere! This is the 3rd time this month they've had "technical difficulties" right when claims are due. I'm convinced they do this on purpose to reduce how many people can file!!

i dont think its on purpose lol. they probably just have old computers like most government places. happened to me last month too but it usually works by end of day

I'm currently working as an ESD navigator at WorkSource, and we've been informed there's maintenance happening today that wasn't properly communicated to claimants. The system should be back to normal by 2pm. If you're unable to file by midnight, call the claims center first thing tomorrow and explain the technical issues - they can backdate your weekly claim. For the 'system spoofing' message, that's a new security feature they implemented after the fraud incidents last quarter.

TYPICAL! They never tell us anything until AFTER it causes problems. Why couldn't they put a banner on the website warning about maintenance?? Some of us plan our whole day around filing these claims!

I had the same issue last month and discovered if you try to access the site through the SecureAccess Washington portal instead of directly through the ESD homepage, it sometimes bypasses those security flags. Go to secure.esd.wa.gov instead of esd.wa.gov and see if that helps. Also, check if your browser extensions might be triggering their security system - I had to disable my VPN to get through.

The ESD website has been having lots of problems lately. If u can't get thru today, don't panic. They have a 7-day grace period for weekly claims. Just keep trying and document when u attempted to log in (take screenshots if possible). I recomend trying after 10pm when less people are on the site.

The grace period only applies if you call them though! And we all know how impossible it is to get someone on the phone. I spent 6 HOURS on hold last time this happened!
