How to reset TWC PIN? Trouble accessing Texas Unemployment account
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my TWC account. I need to reset my PIN but I'm not sure how to do it. Has anyone gone through this process recently? Any tips or advice would be really appreciated. I've been trying to get through to customer service but no luck so far. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hot take: TWC intentionally makes this difficult so fewer people claim benefits. Stay woke, people! 👀

I just went through this last week! It's actually pretty simple. You can reset your PIN online through the TWC website. Just go to the login page and click on 'Forgot PIN?' They'll send you a verification code to your email or phone, and then you can set a new PIN.

LPT: If you're having trouble with the TWC website, try using a different browser or clearing your cache. Sometimes that does the trick!

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

•I think they're just doing upkeep during low-traffic hours, but it always seems to happen at the worst times.

Friendly reminder to everyone: NEVER share your PIN with anyone, not even TWC employees. They'll never ask for it. Stay safe out there!

Pro tip: Write down your PIN somewhere safe as soon as you reset it. You'd be surprised how easy it is to forget a new PIN, especially if you don't use it often.

Regarding the service Claimyr, it's definitely a convenient tool for those who can afford it, especially if you value your time and want to bypass the long wait times typical with TWC customer service. However, it's important to consider that paying $20 per call might not be feasible for everyone, especially if you need to call multiple times. Also, while third-party services can be helpful, there's always a slight risk when providing your personal information to any external site. Alternatives like trying different contact methods, such as social media, or varying the times you attempt to call, might also yield success without the additional cost. Always weigh the potential benefits against the costs and risks when considering such services.

Here's a comprehensive guide to resetting your TWC PIN: 1. Online Method: - Go to the TWC website and click 'Forgot PIN?' - Verify your identity using your email or phone number - Follow the prompts to set a new PIN 2. Phone Method: - Call the TWC customer service number - Select the option for PIN reset in the automated menu - Be prepared to verify your identity with personal information 3. In-person Method: - Visit a local TWC office (bring ID!) - Ask a representative to help you reset your PIN Remember, your new PIN should be: - 4 digits long - Not easily guessable (avoid birthdays, etc.) - Different from your previous PINs If you're still having trouble, don't hesitate to ask for help from a TWC representative. Good luck!

I just went through this exact same issue last month! The online reset option worked for me after a few tries. Make sure you're using the exact email address and phone number that's on file with TWC - any slight difference will cause it to fail. Also, try doing it early in the morning (like 6-7 AM) when their servers are less busy. If the online method still doesn't work, I'd recommend trying the social media approach someone mentioned - I've heard TWC's Twitter support can actually get things moving faster than their phone lines. Hang in there, it's frustrating but you'll get through it! 💪

I had this exact same problem a few months ago! The key thing that worked for me was making sure I was using the exact same information that I originally registered with - down to the capitalization and spacing. Also, if you have multiple email addresses or phone numbers, try each one because sometimes you might have used a different one than you remember. One trick I learned is to try the reset process on different devices too - sometimes it's a browser compatibility issue. The whole TWC system can be finicky but don't give up! You got this! 🙌

•This is really helpful advice! I never thought about the capitalization and spacing making a difference. I'll definitely try using different devices too - sometimes these government websites are super picky about browsers. Thanks for the encouragement! 🙏

I went through this nightmare just last week! What finally worked for me was clearing my browser cache completely and then trying the online reset during off-peak hours (around 10 PM). Also, make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might interfere with the site. If the online method fails, try calling right when they open at 8 AM - I found the wait times are much shorter then. The whole process is unnecessarily complicated, but hang in there! Once you get through, write down your new PIN somewhere safe so you don't have to go through this again. Good luck! 🤞

•Great tip about clearing the browser cache! I've been struggling with this for days and didn't think to try that. The timing advice is super helpful too - I've been trying during lunch breaks when everyone else is probably doing the same thing. Definitely going to try the early morning approach. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏

I just went through this exact same situation a couple weeks ago! Here's what worked for me: First, try the online reset method during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening works best). Make sure you're using the EXACT same email and phone number you originally registered with - even small differences in formatting can cause it to fail. If that doesn't work, I had success calling the automated phone line at exactly 8:00 AM when they open - the wait time was only about 20 minutes compared to hours later in the day. Also, have all your info ready: SSN, previous employer details, and your claim number if you have it. The whole system is frustrating but you'll get through it! Once you reset it, definitely write it down somewhere safe. Hope this helps! 🤞

•This is super helpful! I'm dealing with the same issue right now and have been trying at random times during the day. Never thought about timing it for exactly when they open - that's brilliant! I'll definitely try the 8 AM approach tomorrow. Also good point about having all the info ready beforehand. Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed advice! 🙌

I had the same issue a few weeks ago and found a solution that worked! Try using an incognito/private browser window when attempting the online PIN reset - sometimes cached data or cookies can interfere with the process. Also, if you have access to a different device (like your phone instead of computer, or vice versa), give that a shot too. The TWC system can be really picky about browsers and stored data. If the online method still doesn't work after trying these steps, I'd recommend calling first thing in the morning around 7:45 AM and staying on the line even before they officially open - sometimes you can get through faster that way. Don't give up, you'll get it sorted! 💪

•Great advice about using incognito mode! I've been banging my head against the wall trying to reset mine for the past few days. I never thought about cached data being the issue. Going to try this right now along with the early morning calling strategy. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here - makes me feel less alone in this TWC nightmare! 🙏

I just went through this same frustrating process last month! What finally worked for me was using a completely different browser (switched from Chrome to Firefox) and doing the reset at around 6 AM when their servers are less loaded. Make sure you're entering your info EXACTLY as it appears on your original application - I kept failing because I was using my nickname instead of my full legal name. Also, if you have an old smartphone lying around, try using that instead of your main device - sometimes the mobile site works better than desktop. The whole TWC system is ancient and glitchy, but don't lose hope! Once you get through, take a screenshot of the confirmation page just in case. You've got this! 🙌

•This is such solid advice! I never would have thought about using a different browser or trying the mobile site instead. The tip about using your full legal name exactly as it appears on the application is gold - I bet that's where a lot of people are getting tripped up. Taking a screenshot of the confirmation is brilliant too, especially with how unreliable their system can be. Thanks for sharing what worked for you! 🙏

I just went through this exact same situation a few weeks ago and I feel your pain! After trying everything, what finally worked for me was doing the reset super early in the morning (around 5:30 AM) when their system is less overloaded. Also, make sure you're using the exact same browser you used when you first set up your account - I know it sounds weird but the TWC system is really finicky about that stuff. If you're still having trouble, try disabling any ad blockers or privacy extensions temporarily, as they can sometimes interfere with government sites. The most important thing is to have all your info ready beforehand: SSN, claim number, exact spelling of your name as it appears on your documents, and the phone number/email you originally registered with. It's incredibly frustrating but hang in there - you'll get through it! Once you do get it reset, I'd recommend writing it down in multiple places so you don't have to go through this nightmare again. Good luck! 🤞

•This is incredibly thorough advice! The 5:30 AM timing makes so much sense - I bet that's when the system has the least traffic. I never would have thought about using the same browser as when I first set up the account, but with how outdated these government systems are, that could definitely make a difference. The tip about disabling ad blockers is really smart too. I'm definitely going to try all of these suggestions tomorrow morning. Thanks for being so detailed and encouraging - it really helps to know others have made it through this process! 🙏

I've been dealing with the same PIN reset issue for the past week and finally got it sorted! What worked for me was a combination of several suggestions mentioned here. First, I cleared my browser cache completely and tried using incognito mode. Then I attempted the reset at exactly 6 AM when the system is less busy. The key thing that made the difference was making sure I used my information EXACTLY as it appears on my original TWC documents - including middle initial and proper capitalization. I also had to use the same email address I registered with initially (not my current primary email). It took about 3-4 attempts over different days, but persistence paid off! For anyone still struggling, don't give up and try the early morning approach - it really does make a difference. The system is definitely frustrating but you'll get through it! 💪

•This is exactly what I needed to hear! I've been trying for days and getting nowhere. The detail about using the exact same email address from registration is super important - I've been using my newer email thinking it wouldn't matter. Going to set my alarm for 5:45 AM tomorrow and give this another shot with all the tips you mentioned. It's so helpful to hear from someone who actually succeeded after multiple attempts. Thanks for not giving up and sharing what worked! 🙏

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Been stuck for 3 days trying to reset my PIN. Reading through all these suggestions is super helpful - I had no idea that timing and browser choice could make such a difference. Going to try the 6 AM approach tomorrow with incognito mode and make sure I'm using my exact registration info. It's frustrating but at least I know I'm not the only one dealing with this. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences! 🙏

•Hey Diego! I just went through this same nightmare last month and totally feel your frustration. The 6 AM timing really does work - I was skeptical at first but it made all the difference. One additional tip that helped me: if you have multiple phone numbers or email addresses, try each combination since sometimes we forget which one we originally used. Also, make sure you're not using any VPN or proxy services when attempting the reset, as that can sometimes flag their security system. The incognito mode suggestion is spot on too. Hang in there, you're definitely not alone in this struggle! Once you get through it, the relief is incredible. Good luck tomorrow morning! 🤞

I just went through this exact same process two months ago and it was such a headache! What finally worked for me was trying the online reset at around 5 AM when their servers aren't overloaded. Make sure you're using the EXACT same information you used when you first applied - I kept failing because I was entering my preferred name instead of my full legal name from my documents. Also, try using a different browser or incognito mode if you keep getting errors. The TWC system is notoriously glitchy but don't lose hope! If the online method still doesn't work after a few tries, calling right at 8 AM sharp when they open gives you the best chance of getting through quickly. I waited about 30 minutes that way versus hours later in the day. Have all your info ready: SSN, claim number, and employment history. You'll get through this! 🙌

•This is really comprehensive advice! I'm in the same boat as OP and have been struggling with this for almost a week now. The timing suggestion keeps coming up in everyone's responses - clearly that 5-6 AM window is the sweet spot. I never thought about the name format being so specific, but that makes total sense with how picky these government systems can be. Going to try your approach tomorrow morning with incognito mode and my full legal name exactly as it appears on my documents. Thanks for sharing your experience and being so encouraging! It really helps to know that persistence pays off with this frustrating system. 🤞

I just successfully reset my TWC PIN last week after struggling with it for days! What finally worked for me was a combination of the suggestions mentioned here. I tried the online reset at exactly 5:30 AM using incognito mode in Chrome, and made sure to use my full legal name EXACTLY as it appears on my social security card - including the middle initial. Also had to use the original email address I registered with, not my current one. The key was being super precise with the information and timing it right when their servers aren't overwhelmed. If anyone is still having trouble, definitely try the early morning approach - it really does make a huge difference! Don't give up, the system is frustrating but you'll get through it eventually. Once you reset it, write it down in multiple safe places so you don't have to deal with this again! 💪

I'm dealing with this same issue right now and reading all these responses is so helpful! I've been trying the online reset for three days with no luck, but I realize now I've been attempting it during peak hours. Going to set my alarm for 5:30 AM tomorrow and try the incognito browser approach with my exact legal name as it appears on my documents. It's reassuring to see so many people have eventually gotten through this - the TWC system really is a nightmare but at least we're all in it together! Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and tips. Fingers crossed the early morning timing does the trick! 🤞

•You're so right about the early morning timing making a huge difference! I went through this same frustrating process a few months back and that 5:30-6 AM window is definitely the sweet spot. One thing I'd add to all the great advice here is to also make sure you're not using any browser extensions that might interfere - I had to disable my password manager temporarily because it kept auto-filling fields incorrectly. Also, if you have your old PIN written down anywhere, double-check that you're not accidentally trying to use it during the reset process (I did this and it kept rejecting me!). The system really is terrible but the early morning approach plus incognito mode should do the trick. Good luck tomorrow morning - you've got this! 🙌

I just went through this exact same nightmare a couple of weeks ago! After reading through all these helpful suggestions, I wanted to add one more tip that worked for me. If you're still having trouble with the online reset, try using your phone's mobile browser instead of a computer - sometimes the mobile version of their site works better. Also, make sure you're connected to a stable internet connection (not public WiFi) as their system seems to time out easily on slower connections. The early morning timing everyone mentioned is absolutely crucial - I had success at around 5:45 AM on a weekday. One last thing: if you moved recently, double-check that you're using the address that was on file when you first applied, even if you've updated it since. The PIN reset system seems to cross-reference with your original application data. Don't lose hope - their system is ancient and frustrating, but persistence really does pay off! 🙏
