Forgot PIN - Can't access account. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I forgot my PIN and now I can't access my account. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to reset it quickly? I'm worried about missing important updates or payments because of this.

Ugh, been there done that. It's such a pain when you forget your PIN. Have you tried calling their customer service line? Usually they can verify your identity and reset it for you over the phone.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try. Do you remember how long the process took when you did it?

It took about 15 minutes total, but most of that was waiting on hold. The actual reset part was pretty quick once I got through to someone.

15 minutes?! You got lucky. I was on hold for over an hour last time I called them 😫

Pro tip: write down your PIN somewhere safe next time! I keep mine in a password manager app. Saves me so much hassle.

I found a method to get someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Yep, it's legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Totally worth the $20 imo.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Call the customer service number 2. When prompted, say you forgot your PIN 3. They'll ask for some identifying info (SSN, DOB, address) 4. Answer their security questions 5. They'll reset your PIN 6. Write it down somewhere safe! Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the detailed steps! This is super helpful. I'll follow this guide when I call.

Great advice! I'd add: make sure you're in a quiet place when you call. They might ask you to verify some sensitive info.

Preach! 🙌 The whole system needs an overhaul tbh

Biometrics arent perfect either tho. What if the system goes down or your fingerprint doesn't read? At least with a PIN you can always type it in.

Word of warning: be careful about giving out too much personal info over the phone. Make sure you're actually talking to the real customer service, not some scammer. Always double-check the number you're calling!

I went through this exact same situation last month! Here's what worked for me: I called early in the morning (around 8 AM) to avoid the worst hold times. When I got through, they were able to reset my PIN in about 5 minutes after verifying my identity with SSN, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of my bank account where they send payments. The new PIN was active immediately. Also, I'd recommend setting up text alerts if you haven't already - it helps you stay on top of important updates even if you get locked out again. Hope this helps!

I had the same issue a few weeks ago and it was so stressful! What worked for me was calling right at 8 AM when they open - way shorter hold times. Also, have all your info ready before you call: SSN, DOB, address, and if possible the last unemployment payment amount. They asked me all of these to verify my identity. The whole process took about 10 minutes once I got through to someone. And definitely write that new PIN down in multiple places this time! I learned my lesson the hard way too 😅
