PFL Account Hacked? Password and Security Questions Changed - Need Help ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my account. Someone changed my password and security questions, and now I can't log in. I'm freaking out because I need to access my paid family leave info. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get back into my account or reach technical support? I'm seriously stressed about this!

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried the 'Forgot Password' option? Sometimes that can bypass the security questions.

•Yeah, I tried that but it's asking for answers to security questions I didn't set up. It's like my whole account has been hijacked 😭

•Oh no, that's even worse! Sounds like you might need to contact them directly. Good luck getting through tho, their phone lines are always jammed 🙄

This happened to me too! It's so frustrating. I ended up having to call their technical support line. Be prepared to wait on hold for hours tho 🙃

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just some scam?

•I get the skepticism, but I promise it's legit. Used it twice now and it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Take screenshots of any error messages you're getting. 2. Try accessing your account from a different device or browser. Sometimes it's just a tech glitch. 3. If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact PFL directly. Their number is 1-877-238-4373. 4. When you call, explain that you suspect unauthorized access to your account. They should have protocols for this. 5. Be prepared to verify your identity. Have your SSN, address, and any claim numbers ready. 6. If the phone wait is too long, try their online contact form or email: pfl@edd.ca.gov 7. As a last resort, you might need to file a new claim and explain the situation. Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.

This is why I always use a password manager and 2FA on everything. Might be worth setting that up once you get back into your account.

•100% this! 2FA is a lifesaver. I use Authy for all my important accounts now.

Not to freak you out more, but you might want to check your credit report too. If someone got into your PFL account, they might have enough info to do more damage.

•Lol I wish! But nah, I use a password manager and it's definitely not what I set it to 😅
