FPL account locked - can't reach anyone to unlock it. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my Family Paid Leave account. It's locked and I can't access it. Has anyone else dealt with this? I've been trying to reach the department for days but keep getting sent to the wrong place or can't get through. It's so frustrating! Any advice on how to actually talk to someone who can help?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat last month. It's like they don't want us to actually use the benefits we're entitled to. Have you tried calling right when they open? That sometimes works for me.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

Early morning calls are hit or miss tbh. I've had better luck calling around 2pm when the lunch rush is over.

Good point! I guess it really depends on the day. Maybe try both and see what works?

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way faster than trying to get through on your own.

Have you tried reaching out on social media? Sometimes tweeting at them or messaging on Facebook can get a response. Worth a shot!

Here's what worked for me to unlock my account: 1. Call the main number (1-866-XXX-XXXX) and choose option 4 for technical support. 2. When prompted, say "speak to a representative" clearly. 3. If you get sent to the wrong department, politely ask to be transferred to account services. 4. Be prepared with your SSN, claim number, and any error messages you've received. 5. If all else fails, ask for a supervisor. It took me a few tries, but I finally got through and had my account unlocked in about 15 minutes. Good luck!

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're purposely making it difficult.

Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

Pro tip: keep a log of all your calls, including date, time, and who you spoke to (if anyone). It'll help if you need to escalate your case later.

That's a great idea! I'll start doing that. Thanks!

Anyone else notice that the website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄

Guys, let's not assume malice. Tech issues happen. But yeah, the timing sucks sometimes.

Have you checked if there are any known system-wide issues? Sometimes they post updates on their website or social media about account lockouts or technical problems.

I work in IT (not for FPL tho). Sometimes clearing your browser cache and cookies can help with account issues. Might be worth a try before you spend hours on the phone.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a try now.

I had the exact same issue a few months ago! What finally worked for me was calling the 1-866 number first thing Monday morning at exactly 8:00 AM. I literally set an alarm and called right when they opened. Got through on the second try and they unlocked my account within 10 minutes once I had a real person on the line. The rep told me that Monday mornings are actually their least busy time because most people assume it'll be swamped. Also, make sure you have your ID ready to verify your identity - they'll ask for your SSN, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your bank account on file. Hope this helps and you get it sorted soon! 🤞
