Help! Someone changed my account password and security questions - what do I do?
Hey everyone, I'm freaking out here. I just tried to log into my account and I can't get in. Someone changed my password and security questions! Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do?

Oh man, that sucks! Have you tried contacting their support? They might be able to help you recover your account.

•I've been trying to get through to them all day, but no luck so far. The wait times are insane!

•Typical. Their customer service is a joke. Good luck getting any help from them 🙄

This happened to me last month! It was a nightmare. Here's what I did: • First, try to reset your password through the 'Forgot Password' link. Sometimes that works even if the security questions are changed. • If that doesn't work, you need to contact them ASAP. The longer you wait, the harder it might be to prove it's your account. • Gather any proof you have that the account is yours - old emails, screenshots, anything. • When you do get through, ask them to lock the account immediately to prevent further changes. • Be prepared to verify your identity. They might ask for a copy of your ID or other documents. • Once you regain access, enable two-factor authentication if it's available. • Change ALL your security questions and use answers that aren't easily guessable. Good luck! It's a pain, but you'll get through it.

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely follow these steps. Did it take long for you to get your account back?

•It took about a week, but I was persistent. Don't give up!

•This is great advice! I'd add: use a password manager and create unique passwords for every account. It's a lifesaver!

•Budget cuts, probably. They never invest in the right things.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time.

•20 bucks tho? That's steep for something that should be free.

•I get it, but for me, it was worth not wasting an entire day on hold. Time is money, ya know?

This is why I always use a password manager and 2FA on everything. Stay safe out there, folks! 💪
