TWC: Can't submit claims due to outdated email & missing PIN - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble submitting my unemployment claims. My email address on file is outdated and I need a PIN to access my account. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to get it sorted out quickly? I've been trying to call but it's been a nightmare getting through.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I had the same issue last month. It took me FOREVER to get through to someone. Have you tried calling right when they open? That seemed to work better for me.

Calling when they open is hit or miss for me. Sometimes the line is already full by then! 😫

I've had better luck calling late in the day, like an hour before they close. Less people trying then.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give both a try and see which works better.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

$20?! That's ridiculous. The system is so broken that we have to PAY just to talk to someone? 🤦‍♂️

I know it sounds sketchy, but it really did work for me. I waited about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line. Worth it to me after days of trying to get through.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Use the online portal to request a PIN reset (if that's still working) 2. Check your spam folder for emails from TWC 3. If all else fails, try contacting your local workforce office. Sometimes they can help or at least give you a direct number. Hope this helps! The system is a mess rn, but don't give up!

This whole unemployment system is a joke. I've been trying to fix an issue for MONTHS. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it.

Pro tip: if you can't get thru on the main line, try calling your local workforce center. They sometimes have direct lines to TWC and can help with basic account stuff.
