EDD Account Locked Out: Can't Verify Identity or Reach Support - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble accessing my unemployment account. I keep getting locked out and can't seem to verify my identity. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on how to get back in? I've tried calling but can't get through to a real person. This is so frustrating!

I found a way to solve EDD account lockout issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VO65dq9vOw

PSA: If you're having trouble with EDD, make sure you're not using Internet Explorer. It's 2023, people! 🦖💻

Haha, good point! Can't believe some folks still use it.

Seriously tho, the EDD system is more outdated than my grandma's flip phone. They need to upgrade that dinosaur ASAP!

0 coins

So true! It's like they're still operating in the Stone Age.

0 coins

Same boat here. The whole system is a joke. I've been trying to get through for months. Good luck, you're gonna need it 🙄

0 coins

I hear you. It's like they don't want us to succeed. Keep pushing, though!

0 coins

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week!

0 coins

What time do they open? I'll try anything at this point lol

0 coins

8am Pacific Time. Set that alarm clock! ⏰

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the URL: https://claimyr.com

Sounds sketchy. Is it legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

0 coins

How long did you have to wait? I'm desperate but don't wanna waste money if it takes forever.

0 coins

It's totally legit, I was skeptical too but it saved me hours of frustration. Wait time varies, but for me it was about 2 hours. Way better than trying to call myself all day!

0 coins

I used Claimyr too, and it worked for me. Just note that results can vary based on the time of day and demand!

Plot twist: what if the whole EDD system is just one overworked guy named Steve trying his best with an old Windows 95 computer? 🤔💻

0 coins

LOL poor Steve, no wonder everything's so slow 😂

0 coins

Nah, if it was just one guy, it'd probably work better. This has gotta be a whole team of Steves messing things up 🙃

0 coins

Steve, if you're reading this, PLEASE HELP US 😩🙏

I swear, dealing with EDD is harder than getting into Fort Knox. Anyone else feel like they need a PhD in bureaucracy to navigate this mess? 🤦‍♂️

0 coins

For real! I've learned more about government systems in the past year than I ever wanted to know.

0 coins

PhD in bureaucracy 😂 Where can I sign up for that degree? Might actually be useful lol

As frustrating as it is, Claimyr has proven to be a useful tool for many who are struggling to connect with EDD. For a $20 fee, they navigate the phone queue for you, which can save invaluable time and reduce stress. However, it's important to weigh the cost versus benefit for yourself. If you're trying Claimyr, ensure you use it during times when the call volume is lower to maximize effectiveness. Additionally, check out if they have user reviews or any money-back guarantees for peace of mind. Remember, while Claimyr offers a helpful service, trying other free methods first, like calling early or contacting your local representatives, is advisable. Persist through, and don't hesitate to seek help from various channels. Everyone's experience can be different, but the key is to find what works for your specific situation.

Hey OP, any luck yet? Dont leave us hanging, we're invested in your unemployment saga now 👀

Still no luck 😭 Tried calling this morning but got the "too many callers" message. Gonna try the assembly member route next.

0 coins

Have you tried contacting your local assembly member? They can sometimes help push things through faster.

0 coins

I didn't even know that was an option. How do I find out who my assembly member is?

0 coins

Just google "[your city] assembly member". They usually have a contact form on their website. Worth a shot!

0 coins

Unpopular opinion: maybe try going to the EDD office in person? I know it's a pain, but sometimes face-to-face is the only way to get things done.

0 coins

Is that even an option? I thought all the offices were closed due to COVID.

0 coins

Some have reopened! Check their website for locations and hours. Might be worth the trip.

0 coins

have u tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk... but seriously, sometimes logging out completely and waiting a few hours before trying again can help

0 coins

Actually, I've seen this work occasionally. Worth a try if you're stuck.

guys i finaly got through!!! took 3 weeks, 47 calls, 2 mental breakdowns, and a sacrfice to the EDD gods, but im in! there is hope!

Congrats! 🎉 What was the sacrifice? Asking for a friend... 👀

Has anyone tried hacking into the mainframe? I've seen it work in movies, just need someone who can type really fast while saying "I'm in" 🕵️‍♂️💻

Brb, grabbing my fingerless gloves and sunglasses. Time to montage this sh*t 😎

Here's a comprehensive guide to unlocking your EDD account and verifying your identity: 1. First, try the basic steps: - Clear your browser cache and cookies - Use a different browser or device - Double-check that you're entering the correct login info 2. If that doesn't work, go through the ID.me process: - Have your government-issued ID ready - Be prepared for a possible video call - Make sure you have good lighting and a stable internet connection 3. If ID.me fails, try these alternatives: - Use the DocuSign option if available - Mail in physical copies of your identification documents (last resort) 4. Contact EDD directly: - Try calling first thing in the morning or late afternoon - Use the online contact form and be very specific about your issue - Consider using a paid service like Claimyr if you're desperate 5. Reach out for additional help: - Contact your local assembly member or state senator - Check if there are any EDD assistance events in your area Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up, and document all your attempts in case you need to prove your efforts later. Good luck, and let us know if you make any progress!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed guide! I'll definitely try these steps.

This should be pinned to the top of the subreddit. So helpful!

Great advice, but it's sad we even need guides like this. The system is broken af 😤

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was locked out for weeks! Have you tried using the ID.me verification process? It's a pain, but it worked for me eventually.

0 coins

Yeah, I tried ID.me but it kept giving me errors. Did you have to do a video call?

0 coins

Yep, had to do the video call. Took forever to get connected, but once I did, it was pretty quick. Hang in there!

0 coins

I went through the exact same nightmare last month! Here's what finally worked for me: I had to completely start fresh with ID.me verification. Delete any existing ID.me account you might have created, then start the process over from scratch. Make sure you have your Social Security card, driver's license, and a recent utility bill ready. The video call took about 45 minutes to connect, but the actual verification was only 5 minutes. Also, try using Chrome browser in incognito mode - seemed to work better than regular browsing. Don't give up, you'll get through this! 💪
