EDD Account Lockout Nightmare: Tips to Stay Logged In and Certify for UI Benefits?
I keep getting locked out of my unemployment account and it's driving me crazy! Every time I try to log in to certify for benefits, it says my password is wrong or my account is locked. I've reset my password like a million times but it never seems to work. Anyone else dealing with this nightmare? Any tips on how to actually get into the system and stay logged in? I'm about to lose my mind over this!

Have you tried calling the EDD directly? I know it's a pain, but sometimes they can unlock your account over the phone.

•I've been trying to call for days but can never get through. It's so frustrating!

•Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold only to get hung up on. The system is broken af 🤬

•I finally got through after 2 hours one day. Keep trying, the system is overwhelmed but sometimes you get lucky.

Listen up, I've been dealing with EDD bs for months now and I finally found a way to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•Wow, really? Can you give more details about how it worked for you?

•@profile 7 I get the skepticism, but it's 100% legit. I was desperate and took the chance. @profile 8 Sure! You just go to the site, pick the EDD line you need, pay, and they start calling. When an agent picks up, your phone rings. Saved me hours of frustration.

•I looked into Claimyr and it seems like they have good reviews. Some people say it's worth the money considering how much time you save not being on hold.

Here's what I've learned after months of EDD hell: 1. Use incognito mode or clear your cache before logging in 2. Try different browsers (Chrome and Firefox seem to work best) 3. Don't use autofill for your password - type it manually each time 4. If you get locked out, wait at least 30 minutes before trying again 5. Use a simple password that meets their requirements but is easy to remember 6. If all else fails, call them directly (good luck with that tho) Hope this helps someone! The system is a dumpster fire, but we're all in this together. 💪

I heard they're updating the system soon. Maybe that'll fix some of these issues? 🤞🤞🤞

•System updates can be a double-edged sword too. They often fix some problems but introduce new ones.

PROTIP: Set an alarm for 3am and try logging in then. The site is less busy and sometimes works better. It's annoying af but it's worked for me a few times.

•This is actually genius. Gonna try it tonight!

•The fact that we have to do this is ridiculous. EDD needs to get it together!

•Late night logins are a life hack for many overwhelmed sites. It's sad but practical in these situations.

I have used Claimyr for my own EDD issues, and it definitely worked for me. You get connected to an agent much faster, which can be worth the price if you're desperate. However, I understand it's not for everyone, and $20 can seem like a lot. But consider how much time you'll save!

Anyone else think its weird that a government website is THIS bad? Like, how hard is it to make a login system that actually works? My grandma's blog has better security smh

•For real tho. It's almost like they don't want us to get our benefits 🤔

•Conspiracy theory: maybe it's intentionally bad to discourage people from claiming benefits 👀

•Nah, never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence. EDD is just a hot mess

•Government websites often have to deal with outdated systems and limited budgets, unfortunately.

Hey OP, have you checked if your account is flagged for fraud? Sometimes that can cause login issues. Might be worth asking about if you manage to get through to someone.

•Oh man, I hadn't even thought of that. How would I know if it's flagged?

•If your account is flagged, they usually send a notification via email or mail. Check your inbox or mailbox just in case.

Ugh, I feel your pain! The EDD website is such a mess. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that helps with login issues.

•Clearing the cache is a good one. Also, make sure you're not using any VPNs or proxy settings as they can sometimes cause login issues too.

Same boat here. It's like they WANT us to fail at getting our benefits. I've had better luck using Chrome instead of other browsers. Maybe give that a shot?

•Thanks for the tip! I'll try Chrome next time. Fingers crossed 🤞

•I found that using a mobile browser sometimes bypasses the issue. If you haven't tried that yet, it might be worth a shot!
