Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.
Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.
Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when my neighbor told me about claimyr.com - I was super skeptical but figured what did I have to lose? Check your payment history on the ny unemployment website. It tells you exactly how many effective days you have left. Each effective day is 1/4 of your weekly benefit. So 4 effective days = 1 week of benefits.
Oh that's helpful! I've got 54 effective days left according to the website.

•So that's 13.5 weeks which would take you to mid-September, but since the programs end Sept 4, that's your cutoff date.
These unemployment questions are getting too complicated for reddit tbh. I'd call and ask a specialist. You'll need to talk to NYSDOL eventually for the BYE date stuff anyway.

Try contacting your state representatives office! I was having the same issue and my congressmans office has a staff member who deals with unemployment cases. They fixed mine in 2 days with one phone call.

The most frustrating part is you cant even check on the status. I tried calling NY unemployment and they said it's an IRS issue. Called IRS and they said they can't give status on individual adjustments. It's like they designed this system to be as annoying as possible 🙄

your bank may have resources to help too! I work at a credit union and we have a whole department that helps members with identity theft. they can't fix the unemployment issue directly but can help protect your other accounts and credit.

•I only found out when I got a 1099-G tax form showing unemployment income I never received. You could request a wage and income transcript from the IRS to see if there's anything fishy on your record.
