Heard NY unemployment refunds coming this week - anyone confirm?

Where did you see this? I haven't received any notifications about additional refunds from unemployment. Last time they did something like this was after the American Rescue Plan when they made some benefits non-taxable. Haven't heard anything now tho.

i work at an accountng firm (not giving tax advice tho!) and we havent heard about any special unemployment refunds coming. most likely this is just about normal tax refunds for people who had unemployment income last year.

My cousin works for the state (not unemployment but different department) and she said they haven't mentioned anything about additional refunds in their interoffice memos. Take that for what its worth.

i called unemployment 3 times last week about my missing payments (finally got thru using claimyr.com btw) and none of the agents mentioned any refunds coming. if it was happening they would def know about it.

Check the official NYSDOL twitter and website. They always post about things like this if they're real. I don't see anything there about refunds.

Sounds like that old game of telephone we used to play as kids... someone misheard something about regular tax refunds, told someone else it was "unemployment refunds" and suddenly everyone thinks free money is coming 🤦‍♀️
