Anyone heard about new stimulus payments for NY unemployment recipients?

I haven't heard anything official about new stimulus checks for NY unemployment recipients. Last I checked there's nothing coming from the federal government and NY state hasn't announced anything either. I think your friends might be confusing it with that child tax credit thing that's just for people with kids under 17. Unless someone else has different info?

The real problem is there SHOULD be more help coming with these insane prices everywhere but the government doesn't care about regular people anymore. We're all just expected to somehow survive while everything costs twice as much as it did 2 years ago.

I checked with several sources and called ny unemployment directly. No stimulus is coming currently. The only payments going out now are regular unemployment benefits, child tax credits if you have kids, and maybe some retroactive payments if you had issues with your claim before. Don't get your hopes up for anything else right now unfortunately.
