Anyone received their ny unemployment tax refund yet?

Pro tip: create an account on the IRS website and check your transcript. Mine showed the refund was processed a week before it actually hit my account. Look for code 846.

I'm confused about whether NY state is doing additional refunds on top of the federal ones. Anyone know?

This whole process is RIDICULOUS. They take our money instantly but take months to give refunds. I'm still waiting since February and I know people who filed AFTER me who already got theirs!

My sister got hers in June but I'm still waiting. We filed the same day with similar incomes. Makes no sense!

IMPORTANT INFO: I just got off the phone with an IRS rep (used claimyr.com to avoid the 3 hour wait). They told me they're still processing unemployment refunds and will be through the SUMMER. Don't panic if you haven't received yours yet. They're going through them systematically.

Anyone know the number to call for this specific issue? I've called the general IRS number like 20 times and just get the "high call volume" message then it hangs up 🤬
