Is it possible you have a different overpayment? Sometimes people get confused because they had more than one issue. Double check all your DOL correspondence to make sure this isn't a separate overpayment.
I thought about that but the dates match exactly. It's the same 3 weeks from May that they're claiming I have forfeit days for. And the amount is identical to what they already took.
After my unemployment check went missing, I spent 2 days calling non-stop trying to reach someone. Busy signal every time. Found claimyr.com and got through in an hour. Talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast - turns out my check was sent to my old address even though I updated it months ago.
OP have you tried going physically to a NYS career center? sometimes they can help you with unemployment issues too and at least you're dealing with a real person
Does anyone know if there's a way to check how many effective days you have left without waiting for the mail? The website isnt showing me any of that info 🤔
Just be glad ur BYE date is only in September. Mine was in May and I've been stuck in pending purgatory since then. Can't reach anyone, website gives me errors, and I'm about to be evicted. NY unemployment is a disaster.
Yeah I've tried everything. My state senator's office is "looking into it" but it's been 3 weeks of "looking" with no results.
Honestly try claimyr.com - it's the only thing that worked for me after months of trying. Being able to actually talk to someone changed everything.
I swear they design the system to be confusing on purpose. When I got my backpay it came in 3 separate deposits over 2 weeks. First big chunk, then nothing for 8 days, then two smaller payments back to back. Nobody at NY unemployment could explain why. 🤦♂️

I couldn't get anywhere with regular calls, but I used claimyr.com to actually get through to someone who could help. My claim was stuck in the exact same way - approved but not paying out. Turns out there was a secondary review that needed to be cleared. Worth checking out if you're desperate.

•did you have to provide any personal info to that site? seems sketchy

•No personal info needed! It just calls the unemployment line for you and connects you when an agent picks up. Saved me from hours on hold and the agent I got actually fixed my issue.
