I couldn't get anywhere with regular calls, but I used claimyr.com to actually get through to someone who could help. My claim was stuck in the exact same way - approved but not paying out. Turns out there was a secondary review that needed to be cleared. Worth checking out if you're desperate.
Does anyone know if there's a way to check how many effective days you have left without waiting for the mail? The website isnt showing me any of that info 🤔
Just be glad ur BYE date is only in September. Mine was in May and I've been stuck in pending purgatory since then. Can't reach anyone, website gives me errors, and I'm about to be evicted. NY unemployment is a disaster.
Yeah I've tried everything. My state senator's office is "looking into it" but it's been 3 weeks of "looking" with no results.
Honestly try claimyr.com - it's the only thing that worked for me after months of trying. Being able to actually talk to someone changed everything.
Is it possible you have a different overpayment? Sometimes people get confused because they had more than one issue. Double check all your DOL correspondence to make sure this isn't a separate overpayment.
I thought about that but the dates match exactly. It's the same 3 weeks from May that they're claiming I have forfeit days for. And the amount is identical to what they already took.
After my unemployment check went missing, I spent 2 days calling non-stop trying to reach someone. Busy signal every time. Found claimyr.com and got through in an hour. Talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast - turns out my check was sent to my old address even though I updated it months ago.
OP have you tried going physically to a NYS career center? sometimes they can help you with unemployment issues too and at least you're dealing with a real person

Here's my comprehensive guide to solving this exact problem (I'm a former unemployment counselor): 1) First, continue certifying weekly even though nothing shows up 2) You need to specifically reach a Tier 2 Claims Examiner - regular agents cannot help with ID.me verification issues 3) When calling, use specific terminology: "I need help resolving a pending identity verification hold that's preventing my payments from processing" 4) If you can't get through on the phone, try using claimyr.com - it's a service that will wait on hold and get you a callback when an agent is available 5) As a last resort, contact your state representative's office - they have special contacts at DOL 6) Once resolved, you'll typically receive all back payments within 2-3 business days The key thing to understand is that after ID.me verification, there's an internal DOL verification that must be manually cleared. This is especially true for claims that involve quitting due to reduced hours, as they require additional review. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to update that I was having this same issue and I finally got it resolved today. What worked was using claimyr.com to get through to a rep (seriously tried calling myself for WEEKS with no luck). The agent confirmed there was a hold after ID.me that needed manual clearance. They fixed it while I was on the phone and I could immediately see all my weeks pending in my account! If you're stuck in this situation definitely check out claimyr - talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast.
