I know waiting sucks but from all the tax forums I follow, March filers are just now starting to see movement. The IRS is still catching up from all the returns they got in January/February (which were delayed because of the PATH act). Hang tight - as long as there are no errors on your return, you should see movement in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks for the encouragement. Just frustrating to see April filers getting theirs already while I'm still waiting from March.
Do you have access to your Account Transcript or just your Return Transcript? The Account Transcript will show if they've received your return even when the Return Transcript says "no return filed".
Dealing with the IRS seriously makes me want to pull my hair out. I spent so much time trying to decipher my transcript and figure out why it said no return filed when I definitely submitted months ago. I finally broke down and used this thing called taxr.ai and it was a game changer - explained everything in plain english and gave me a timeline. Beats staring at transcript codes trying to play detective lol
I have a DDD of 3/12 with Chase and I'm still waiting. Starting to get worried tbh. Was really counting on this today...
Just checked and it still says 3/12. Called Chase and they don't see anything pending either. Getting really anxious now.
If it doesn't show up by tomorrow, you should call the IRS. I had this happen once and it turned out they sent it to the wrong account number.
FYI - if your refund is over $10,000 it sometimes takes an extra day for fraud verification at most banks including Chase. Just something to keep in mind if you're getting a big refund
My BFF works at CREDITUNION (not telling which branch lol) and she told me they do processing runs at 2am, 11am, and 4pm. So if you don't see it in the morning, check again after those times.
Anyone know if offset refunds follow the same DDD schedule? I have child support arrears and know I'm only getting a portion of my refund after the offset. Just wondering if that process takes longer.
I had an offset last year and it actually came ON the DDD, not early like previous years. I think the offset process adds a step.
If you want to know exactly how much you're getting after offsets and when, check out taxr.ai - it breaks down all the deductions and gives you your actual expected amount. Saved me from budgeting for money I wasn't going to get!

To answer your original question - yes, got my 3/19 DDD today with Chime. They always deposit as soon as they get the money, usually 2 days early. One of the main reasons I switched to them from traditional banks that hold your money.

I'm having serious anxiety about my refund too. I keep checking my bank account every hour like a psycho. The IRS really has us all traumatized š

ā¢Right? I've literally been checking my account multiple times a day. My partner thinks I'm being ridiculous but we need this money!
