Anyone received their DDD 3/19 refund yet?

Oh that's awesome to hear! I bank with Wells Fargo and they usually don't deposit early. But maybe there's hope! Did your WMR ever show the bars or did it just show processing the whole time?

It showed the bars initially, then went to the processing message with Tax Topic 152 after path act hit. Then finally showed approved with DDD this weekend. But like I said, the money came first before the final WMR update 😂

I'm with Wells Fargo too and they're notoriously slow with tax refunds. Last year they held mine for a full day after the official DDD. Might be worth checking taxr.ai to see if there's any other codes on your transcript that might indicate whether it's been sent yet.

Holy crap I just tried it and this is AMAZING! It explained my weird cycle code that I've been freaking out about for 2 weeks. Turns out it's completely normal and my refund is on schedule. This should be pinned at the top of this subreddit for real 🔥

There is a cost but it's worth every penny compared to the stress of not knowing what's happening with your money. I spent WEEKS trying to figure out what was going on before finding this.

Yeah it's real. They basically call the IRS for you and when they get through, they connect the call to your phone. Saved me literal hours of hold time. I was desperate after calling for days and never getting through.

Nope, they don't ask for any personal info. They just call the IRS line for you and connect you when an agent picks up. You talk directly to the IRS agent, not them. It was the only way I could actually reach someone after trying for days.

I used this too when I couldn't get answers about my amended return. It's literally just a way to skip the hold time. After spending 8+ hours trying to get through myself, this was a lifesaver!

how did you even get through to them? I've been calling for days and can't get past the automated system

I called at exactly 7am when they open and still waited 45 minutes. It's ridiculous. I heard some people use that Claimyr service but I was too stubborn to pay for something that should be free.

That makes sense. Wells Fargo is probably gonna make me wait til the actual date or later from what others are saying. Just anxious cause I need it for rent and bills.

Yeah Wells Fargo is notorious for holding deposits until the last possible moment. I switched banks a few years ago partially because of that.

That sucks! Did they tell you why they keep changing it?

Something about my withholding not matching what my employer reported. Then they adjusted my EIC. Then they found another "discrepancy" they won't explain. It's a nightmare.

same thing happened to me last year. ended up having to get a tax advocate to fix it. took 6 months to get my refund 😭

True, the codes are confusing. Gotta google each one to understand what's happening. There used to be good resources here about transcript codes but seems like they've disappeared.

I wasted hours trying to decode my transcript last week. Ended up using taxr.ai and it explained everything instantly. Best $20 I've spent during tax season tbh, saved me so much stress trying to figure out what all those codes meant.

Yep, I've noticed this too. The 05 cycle codes are weekly processing and 02 are daily processing. You can usually predict when your transcript will update based on this too.

Its on your transcript, not WMR. It basically tells you which processing cycle your return is in. Look for a code that looks like 20230905 or something similar - the last two digits are what matters.

Yep and then everyone blames the IRS employees who are just trying to do their jobs with outdated tools and not enough staff. The whole system needs an overhaul.
