For real tho š I'm half expecting to turn into a giant bug at this point
Hey OP, have you considered hiring a professional to help with the amendments? Sometimes it's worth the money to avoid the headache.
I've thought about it, but wasn't sure if it was worth the cost. Might have to look into it if I can't make any progress soon.
It can be pricy, but if time is money, it might be worth it. Just make sure to do your research and find someone reputable.
Has anyone tried using one of those identity protection services? wondering if its worth the money to prevent this kinda thing in the future
I use LifeLock. It's not perfect, but it gives me peace of mind. Caught a sketchy credit card application once.
Pro tip: If you can't get through on the main IRS line, try calling your local Taxpayer Advocate Service. They can sometimes help push things along.
I work in tax prep, and unfortunately, this is becoming more common. Here are some additional tips: 1. Check if you can file a paper return instead of online. 2. Consider using an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) for future filings. 3. Be prepared for a longer refund wait time while they investigate. 4. If you usually get state refunds, check with your state tax agency too. Hang in there, it's a process but it'll get resolved!

Has anyone with a DDD of 2/26 gotten their refund yet through Sbtpg? I am beyond frustrated with these people and their generic responses. They have been funded from the IRS since 2/21
