If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Thank you! Yes, I'm claiming another week tomorrow. Such a relief!

Congratulations on getting approved! Your experience really shows how unpredictable the CONNECT system can be. The fact that the adjudication message disappeared and then the determination letter appeared the next day is actually pretty typical timing from what I've seen. For others still waiting - this is a great example of why it's worth checking your CONNECT inbox daily even if you don't get email notifications. The payments should start processing within the next few business days now that you have that approval letter. Keep us posted on when the money hits your account!

This is so helpful to hear! I'm currently in week 6 of adjudication and seeing success stories like this gives me hope. The timing really does seem random - some people wait months while others get resolved quickly. @Ava Harris did you have to do anything special or submit additional documents during your adjudication period, or did they just work through it on their own?

This whole thread is gold! I'm bookmarking this for future reference. Had no idea about the Work Opportunity Tax Credit thing - that actually makes me feel better about employers asking for all this documentation. It's not just bureaucratic nonsense, there's actually a real business reason behind it. Thanks everyone for explaining how this all works, especially the distinction between the DEO's FEIN and personal tax ID numbers. Super helpful for those of us navigating the transition back to work!

Same here! I'm definitely saving this thread. Just got a new job offer and I bet they're going to ask for similar documentation. It's really reassuring to know there's actually a legitimate business purpose behind these requests - the WOTC program sounds like it could really help people transitioning back to work. Thanks to everyone who contributed, especially @e97069fb8802 for sharing the follow-up with HR. This kind of real-world info is exactly what makes this community so valuable!

This thread has been incredibly educational! I had no idea about the WOTC program either - it's actually encouraging to know that there are real incentives in place to help people transition from unemployment back to work. For anyone else who might need this info in the future, it sounds like the key points are: 1) The DEO's FEIN is 59-3451366, 2) This is different from your personal SSN/TIN, 3) Employers often need this for tax credit documentation, and 4) You can find your benefit end dates in CONNECT under payment history. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences - it makes the whole process less stressful when you understand the "why" behind these requests!

This is such a comprehensive summary - thank you! I'm also new to this process and was feeling pretty overwhelmed about all the documentation employers might request. It's really helpful to see it broken down step by step like this. The fact that there's actually a program designed to help people transition back to work makes me feel more optimistic about the job search process. I'm going to save all this info just in case I need it when I start applying for jobs. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences!

@OP regarding your question about part-time work - yes, that could potentially help you qualify for a new claim when your benefit year ends. To qualify for a new claim, you need to have earned wages in at least 2 quarters of your base period (which will be the first 4 of the last 5 completed calendar quarters before you apply). You also need to have earned at least $3,800 total during your base period. Keep all your pay stubs and employment information - you'll need it when filing a new claim. And for what it's worth, while Florida's system is frustrating, the DEO website has improved a bit since 2020-2021. The information is there, just not always easy to find. Always check both the main CONNECT dashboard AND your inbox for important updates about your claim status and remaining benefits.

Thank you all so much for the helpful information! This cleared up a lot of my confusion. I'll check my monetary determination letter for my benefit year end date and start preparing for when my benefits run out in about 3 weeks. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to explain this!

Just wanted to add one more tip that helped me - if you're worried about missing important notifications from DEO, make sure to check your spam/junk email folder regularly. I almost missed my benefit exhaustion notice because it went to spam! Also, the CONNECT mobile app sometimes shows notifications that don't appear on the desktop version, so it's worth checking both. And definitely keep screenshots of your monetary status page showing your remaining benefits - I've heard of people having issues where the numbers changed unexpectedly and having documentation helped when they had to call DEO to sort it out.

Great advice about checking spam folders! I learned this the hard way when I missed an important DEO message about a pending issue with my claim. The mobile app tip is really helpful too - I didn't even know there was a mobile app version. For anyone reading this, also make sure your contact information is updated in CONNECT because they use that to send important notices. And definitely take screenshots like Jessica mentioned - the system can be glitchy and having proof of what you saw can save you a lot of headaches if you need to call them later.

I bet the problem is your last employer info. My brother had the same issue and it turned out he needed to use the LEGAL company name (like "Walmart Stores East, LP" instead of just "Walmart"). Try looking at your W-2 or paystub for the exact legal name of your last employer. The system tries to match it with their records.

This is an excellent point. The DEO system cross-references employer names with their database, and if you use a common name instead of the legal entity name, it can cause validation errors without clearly telling you that's the problem.

Glad you got it sorted out! For anyone else dealing with similar issues, I've found that the CONNECT system is super picky about data formatting. A few other things that helped me when I had submission problems: make sure there are NO spaces before or after any text you enter (especially email addresses), use only standard keyboard characters (no copy/pasted text that might have hidden formatting), and if you have multiple jobs with the same employer, list them as separate entries with slightly different date ranges rather than trying to combine them. The system seems to handle simple, clean data much better than anything complex. Hope this saves someone else the headache!

These are really helpful tips! I wish I had known about the formatting issues before I went through all that frustration. The thing about spaces before/after text is especially good to know - I probably had trailing spaces without realizing it. Thanks for sharing these details, hopefully it will help other people avoid the same nightmare I went through with CONNECT!

Just found this thread after spending 4 hours on hold yesterday only to get disconnected when they "transferred" me! Reading through everyone's experiences is both heartbreaking and reassuring - at least I know I'm not alone in this nightmare. The 7:30am calling strategy mentioned by @Omar Hassan and proven by @StarSailor sounds like the golden ticket. I'm definitely setting my alarm early tomorrow to try it. Also reaching out to my state rep's office today based on all the success stories here. My claim has been pending for 3 weeks with an "identity verification" flag that makes zero sense since I've already done ID.me twice! The fact that we need a whole support group just to navigate basic unemployment benefits shows how broken this system truly is. Thank you all for sharing your strategies and keeping hope alive. This community is more helpful than the entire DEO website!

@Dylan Evans Welcome to the DEO nightmare club - sorry you had to find us! Getting disconnected after 4 hours is absolutely infuriating, I can t'imagine how frustrated you must be. The identity verification loop is ridiculous too - I ve'heard of people having to do ID.me verification multiple times for no clear reason. Definitely try that 7:30am calling strategy, it seems to be the most reliable way to actually reach a human. And yes, reach out to your state rep ASAP - 3 weeks is already too long to wait without answers. The fact that this community is more helpful than the actual DEO system says everything about how broken it all is. We re'all rooting for you!

Just joined this community after finding this thread through Google while desperately searching for DEO help - and WOW, the support here is incredible! I'm currently 2.5 hours into what I'm hoping won't become another 6-hour hold marathon. Reading everyone's experiences has been both validating (I'm not crazy for thinking this system is broken!) and super helpful. Definitely bookmarking that Claimyr service @StarSurfer mentioned and planning to try the 7:30am strategy if today doesn't work out. My claim has been stuck for 5 weeks with some mysterious "eligibility review" that nobody can explain. The worst part is I keep getting the automated texts saying "we're processing your claim" but zero actual information about what they need or timeline to expect. Already reached out to my state rep's office yesterday after seeing how effective that's been for others here. It's absolutely insane that we need to involve politicians just to get basic unemployment benefits, but if that's what works, I'm all for it. Thank you all for sharing your strategies and keeping everyone's spirits up - this community is a lifeline when you're drowning in DEO bureaucracy!

@ElectricDreamer Welcome to the support group nobody wants to be part of! 😅 That "eligibility review" with zero details sounds exactly like what half of us are dealing with - it's like they purposely keep everything vague to avoid having to actually explain their broken processes. Those automated texts are the worst too because they make you think something is happening when really you're just stuck in digital purgatory. Really hope you get through today, but if not, that 7:30am strategy seems to be the real deal based on everyone's success stories. And smart move on contacting your state rep already - you're ahead of the game! The fact that we all found each other through desperate Google searches just proves how many people are struggling with this same nightmare. Hang in there, we're all pulling for you!
