What number can I call to reset my DEO CONNECT PIN? Locked out for weeks!
I've been locked out of my CONNECT account since early January because I forgot my PIN. I've called the main DEO number at least 15 times but either get disconnected or wait for hours with no answer. My benefits are on hold and I need to claim my weeks ASAP before they expire! Can anyone tell me the correct number to call specifically for PIN resets? I tried the general 1-800 number but keep getting stuck in the automated system. Starting to panic because my rent is due next week and I need this money!

•I tried that yesterday but still couldn't get through :( Does anyone know if there's a direct line just for PIN resets?

The official number for PIN resets is the same as the main DEO customer service line: 1-800-297-0586. However, it's nearly impossible to get through using normal methods. You need to select option 5 for PIN resets specifically when you call, not the general claims option. Also, try calling Tuesday-Thursday as Mondays and Fridays are absolute nightmares. Another option is to contact your local CareerSource office - some locations can help with PIN resets in person if you bring proper ID.

•Thank you! I'll try the option 5 route tomorrow morning. Didn't know CareerSource could help with this - might try that if calling fails again.

I had the same exact problem last month. Spent literally 2 weeks trying to get my PIN reset. I finally had to drive 45 minutes to a CareerSource office and they couldn't even help because their system was down that day! When I got home I tried the 1-800 number again and got disconnected 4 times in a row. Was ready to give up completely. Then someone on this forum recommended using Claimyr.com to get through to DEO. It basically calls for you and holds your place in line, then calls you when an agent is ready. You can see how it works here: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj I was skeptical but desperate, and it actually worked! Got through to an agent who reset my PIN in about 3 minutes. Honestly saved my sanity.

•That sounds promising! At this point I'm willing to try anything. Did it take long to get through once you used it?

•For me it was about 40 minutes wait time, but I was doing other things while waiting for them to call me back. Way better than being stuck on hold all day or getting disconnected over and over!

If you're still having trouble, there's a little-known option: email DEO.Records@deo.myflorida.com with your claimant ID number, the last 4 digits of your SSN, and full name requesting a PIN reset. It can take 3-5 business days but sometimes works when calling fails. Make sure to use the exact subject line "PIN RESET REQUEST" or it might get missed. Also, the DEO has been implementing a new system for PIN resets involving ID.me verification for some users. If you have trouble with the phone method, check if you've received any emails about ID.me verification as an alternative way to regain access.

•The email method is hit or miss. I sent THREE emails over two weeks and never heard back. Finally had to call my state representative's office and they helped me get it fixed within 48 hours. If all else fails, try that route!

Update: Finally got my PIN reset! Used the Claimyr service that was recommended here and got through to an agent in about 35 minutes. The DEO agent was able to verify my identity and reset my PIN immediately. Just logged in successfully and claimed my weeks! Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions.

•Awesome! Make sure you write your PIN down somewhere safe this time lol. I keep mine in my notes app with a weird title so nobody would know what it is.

•Already done! Learned my lesson the hard way. Never going through that nightmare again.

So glad you got it sorted out! This is such a common problem with DEO - their system locks people out way too easily and then makes it nearly impossible to get back in. Thanks for updating us on what worked, that Claimyr service seems to be a real lifesaver for situations like this. Hopefully DEO will eventually fix their phone system so people don't have to jump through so many hoops just to reset a PIN!

•Totally agree! It's ridiculous that people have to resort to third-party services just to access their own unemployment benefits. The whole DEO system needs a major overhaul - between the constant crashes, impossible-to-reach phone lines, and these PIN lockout issues, it's like they're actively trying to prevent people from getting help. At least stories like this one show there are workarounds, but nobody should have to go through weeks of stress just to reset a PIN!

This is exactly why I keep telling people to document everything when dealing with DEO! Take screenshots of error messages, keep records of call times and dates, save confirmation numbers - it all helps when you finally get through to someone. I've been through similar lockout situations and having that documentation ready made the process go much smoother once I actually reached an agent. Also, for anyone reading this who hasn't been locked out yet, consider setting up a backup contact method or writing down your security questions/answers somewhere secure. The DEO system is so unreliable that it's better to be over-prepared than stuck like Javier was!

•Great advice about documentation! I learned this the hard way during my own DEO nightmare. I also recommend taking screenshots of your account status pages and any error messages you get - it helps prove you've been trying to access your benefits when you finally get through to someone. One thing I'd add is to also document which representatives you speak with (get their names/ID numbers) because sometimes you get conflicting information and need to reference previous conversations. The whole system is so broken but at least we can help each other navigate it!
