Need DEO verification code - stuck since September with no way to contact them!
I've been trying to access my CONNECT account since September 2nd but keep getting stuck at the verification code page. I never receive the code via text or email! I've tried calling the main DEO number like 50 times but can't get through to a real human. Does anyone have a direct phone number or specific email address to request a verification code? This is driving me CRAZY - I need to submit my work search activities and I'm afraid my benefits will be affected. PLEASE HELP!! 😫

The general DEO number (1-833-FL-APPLY) is pretty much useless these days. Try emailing DEO.CONNECT@deo.myflorida.com with your claimant ID, full name, and phone number - specifically ask for verification code assistance in the subject line. Make sure the email you're using matches what's in your CONNECT profile. I had to wait about 3 business days but they did eventually respond.

•Thank you! I'll try emailing right away. Did you put anything specific in the subject line to get their attention?

I had this EXACT problem and wasted TWO WEEKS trying to get it resolved. The DEO system is completely broken and they don't care AT ALL about us. I called over 200 times and either got busy signals or got disconnected after waiting for 2+ hours. The email address the other person gave might work but don't hold your breath. The whole system is designed to prevent people from getting benefits they deserve!!

•THIS!! 👆 The verification code thing is just another way they try to block access. My cousin had the same issue for almost a month.

I work with unemployment claims regularly, and this verification code issue has been affecting a lot of people lately. Here are some additional options: 1. Try logging in during non-peak hours (very early morning like 6-7AM) 2. Make sure your contact information is 100% up to date in the system 3. Check if your phone carrier might be blocking the automated texts 4. Try requesting the code be sent to both email and phone If none of that works, you can also try reaching out to your local CareerSource office. They sometimes have direct connections to DEO staff who can help with these technical issues.

•Thank you for these suggestions! I'll definitely try logging in early tomorrow morning. My contact info should be correct, but I'll double-check everything. Appreciate the help!

After dealing with the same frustrating verification code issues for weeks, I finally got through to a real DEO agent using Claimyr (claimyr.com). You can see how it works in their video demo: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj It basically keeps dialing for you and gets you in the queue without having to redial constantly. The agent I spoke with was able to reset something on my account that fixed the verification code problem immediately. Saved me so much time and stress compared to sending emails and waiting for responses that never came.

•It did work for me - I was skeptical too but was desperate after trying everything else. The agent I got was able to fix my verification issue in like 5 minutes once I actually got through.

•I've tried that multiple times, but it doesn't seem to help. Still stuck at the same verification code page 😞

Just following up - were you able to resolve this? If emailing didn't work, another option is to contact your state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can escalate DEO issues. I've seen people get results within 24-48 hours going this route when they were stuck for weeks trying on their own.

•UPDATE: I got it fixed! I used that Claimyr service someone mentioned above and actually got through to a real person at DEO. They said my phone number had an extra digit in the system which is why I wasn't getting the codes. The agent fixed it on the spot and I was able to log in right after. Thanks everyone for your help! What a relief.
