Can't access DEO CONNECT - getting 'forbidden' and 'access denied' errors
I've been trying to log into my DEO CONNECT account for the past 3 days and keep getting 'forbidden' and 'access denied' errors. This is beyond frustrating! I need to check on my claim status and can't even access the website. Does anyone have a direct phone number or email address I can use to reach an actual human being at DEO? My bills are piling up and I really need to get this resolved ASAP.

Ugh, the CONNECT system is such garbage!! I had the same issue last month and spent DAYS trying to get through on the main number. Try 1-833-FL-APPLY (1-833-352-7759) but good luck getting anyone to pick up. They'll probably just disconnect you after keeping you on hold for an hour like they did to me 🤬

•Thanks for the number. Did you eventually get through to someone? Did they fix your access issues?

The 'forbidden' error usually means there's an issue with your account security. This happens a lot after failed login attempts or if your ID.me verification expired. Try these steps: 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies 2. Try using a different browser (Chrome works best with CONNECT) 3. If that doesn't work, email DEO.SecureAccess@deo.myflorida.com with your claimant ID, full name, and a brief description of the error Include screenshots of the error if possible. They typically respond within 3-5 business days.

•Thank you so much for these detailed steps! I'll try the browser fixes first and then email that address if needed. Really appreciate it.

I had this EXACT same problem last week. Tried everything - clearing cache, different browsers, mobile, etc. Nothing worked. I was ready to throw my computer out the window! I finally got through to a DEO agent using Claimyr (claimyr.com). They have this service where they call DEO for you and connect you when an agent is available. Saved me HOURS of busy signals and hold time. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj The agent fixed my account right away - turns out my account was locked due to security issues on their end. Back in business within 20 minutes of talking to someone.

•Yes, it absolutely worked for me. I was skeptical too but I was desperate after days of not being able to access my account. The DEO agent I spoke with was actually super helpful once I finally got connected.

The 'access denied' error is happening to a lot of people right now. There are a few official ways to resolve this: 1. Call the main DEO customer service line: 1-833-FL-APPLY (1-833-352-7759) - open Monday-Friday 7:30am to 6:30pm 2. Email specific addresses based on your issue: - For account access problems: DEO.SecureAccess@deo.myflorida.com - For general claim questions: DEO.EmploymentHelp@deo.myflorida.com - For PIN resets: DEO.PinResets@deo.myflorida.com 3. Visit a local CareerSource center for in-person help: https://careersourceflorida.com/career-services/your-local-team/ Make sure to include your claimant ID in all communications. If emailing, put 'URGENT: Website Access Denied' in the subject line.

•This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I'll try calling first thing tomorrow morning when they open, and if that doesn't work, I'll send an email with that subject line. Really appreciate all these options.

•Will do! I'm going to try the suggestions here and report back what works. The whole system is so frustrating.

UPDATE: I finally got my issue resolved! After trying everything, what worked was using Claimyr to get through to a DEO agent (thanks @profile3 for that suggestion). I tried calling directly for two days with no luck. The agent said a lot of accounts were affected by a security update they did last week, and she was able to reset my access on her end. I'm back in my account now and everything looks normal. For anyone having the same problem, getting through to an actual person seems to be the only solution.
