ID.me verification completed but CONNECT account still locked - can't claim weeks or access payments

I'm at my wits end with this DEO account lock situation! I successfully completed my ID.me verification process over 10 days ago, but my CONNECT account is STILL showing as locked. I was supposed to claim my weeks last Monday and Tuesday, which means I've now missed my payment that should have hit my account yesterday. I've called the 1-800 number at least 25 times and either get disconnected or sit on hold until the office closes. I've sent messages through the contact form but received zero response. Has anyone else experienced this delay between completing ID.me and getting their CONNECT account unlocked? I'm about to miss rent payment and this is getting desperate.

This exact thing happened to me last month! Completed ID.me and then waited TWO WEEKS while my account stayed locked. What finally worked was using Claimyr to get through to an actual agent. I was skeptical at first but their system connected me to DEO in under 30 minutes when I'd been trying for days. The agent was able to manually unlock my account while I was on the phone. Check out their video demo to see how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj - the website is claimyr.com. Seriously saved me from missing my car payment.

is this a real service?? sounds like a scam tbh. why would I pay money to talk to DEO when they should just fix their broken system? typical florida making us pay for basic services

3 WEEKS?! Please tell me you're joking. I can't wait that long. Have you tried anything that's worked?

There's a specific process for this situation that isn't well documented. The ID.me verification and the CONNECT account unlock are actually two separate systems that don't automatically sync up. Here's what you need to do: 1. Email DEO directly at DEO.MyConnect@deo.myflorida.com with subject line "CONNECT ACCOUNT LOCKED AFTER ID.ME VERIFICATION" 2. In the email include your full name, claimant ID (if you know it), the last 4 of your SSN, and the date you completed ID.me verification 3. Specify that you've completed ID.me but your CONNECT account remains locked 4. Request immediate assistance unlocking your account so you can claim your weeks Typically they respond within 48-72 hours to these specific emails. Also, make sure you're trying to log in with your correct PIN - many people forget that PIN reset is separate from the ID.me verification process.

Thank you SO MUCH for this detailed info! I just sent the email exactly as you outlined. I'll update if I hear back. And yes, I'm using the correct PIN - I've had it written down since I first created my account.

when i had this issue back in november i had to drive to my local CareerSource office. they have a direct line to DEO and can help with the account lock issues. bring photo ID and your social security card if u go this route

THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS RIGGED TO KEEP U FROM GETTING YOUR BENEFITS!!!! do NOT stop trying. they WANT you to give up. i was locked out for 6 WEEKS and missed 3 claim periods before i finally got a supervisor who admitted their system had a "glitch" with id.me connections. keep calling and DEMAND a tier 2 specialist!!!!!

I work with unemployment claimants regularly, and this ID.me to CONNECT synchronization issue has become increasingly common in 2025. The technical explanation is that when you complete ID.me verification, it creates a verification token that should automatically update your CONNECT status, but the integration often fails due to system overloads. Your fastest options: 1. Call exactly at 7:30am when the queue opens (difficult) 2. Use the email approach mentioned above 3. Visit CareerSource in person Most importantly: even though you missed your regular claim window, you can still claim those weeks once your account is unlocked. When you get back in, you'll see an option for "Apply for Benefits" which allows you to claim weeks from previous claim periods. This is considered a "good cause" delay and won't affect your benefit amount. The current average resolution time for this specific issue is 7-10 business days unfortunately.

Thank you for explaining the technical side of this. I feel a little better knowing I can still claim those weeks once I get back in. I've tried the 7:30am approach twice now but the phone lines are jammed even then. I'll try the email and if that doesn't work by Monday, I'll head to CareerSource.

Did you get any response from the email yet? If not, seriously consider the Claimyr option I mentioned. When I used it, they connected me to a DEO agent who specifically handles ID.me sync issues. The agent told me they have a special tool to force the sync that regular agents don't have access to. Just wanted to follow up because this sounds exactly like my situation and I remember how stressful it was.

No response from the email yet. It's been almost 48 hours. I'm giving it until tomorrow and then I might try your Claimyr suggestion - at this point I'm desperate enough to try anything that works.

YES!!! Finally got in this morning! The email method worked - took 3 days but I got a response saying they'd manually unlocked my account, and when I logged in I was able to claim all my missed weeks. Such a relief! For anyone else dealing with this: the email route does work, just be patient.

Great news! Thanks for updating. For future reference (or for others reading this thread), this issue typically happens because of one of three things: 1. The ID.me verification happened under a slightly different name than what's in CONNECT (even a middle initial can cause problems) 2. There was a device or browser compatibility issue during verification 3. The automatic sync between systems failed due to high volume The DEO is supposedly implementing a fix for this in their next system update in July 2025, but for now, manual intervention is unfortunately required in about 30% of ID.me verifications.

Exactly right about those three causes. And just to add - once you're back in, I recommend setting up direct deposit immediately if you haven't already. The Way2Go card option often adds 2-3 days to payment processing times compared to direct deposit. Glad you got it resolved!
