2 months, no UI benefits, bills piling up. CDLE ghosting me. Help!

I'm at my wits end. It's been 2 months since I filed for unemployment and I haven't heard a peep. All my bills are piling up and I'm seriously broke. Anyone else dealing with this BS? How long did it take for you to get your benefits?

Same boat here. Filed 10 weeks ago and still nothing. The system is so messed up rn 😤

10 weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the menu, stays on hold, then forwards the call when an agent picks up. Costs $20 but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/W4S1W6V2hOQ

Sounds sketchy. How does it actually work?

Not sketchy at all! You just put in your number and they call you when they get an agent. Saved me hours of hold time

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get answers. Cheaper than taking a day off work to sit on hold

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they post updates there without sending emails.

This is ridiculous. We need to organize and demand better service from the unemployment office. Who's with me?

I'm down. What are you thinking? Protest? Petition?

Both! Let's start a FB group and get this rolling

Ok, here's what I've learned after dealing with this for 3 months: 1. Keep calling. It sucks, but persistence pays off. 2. Check your online account daily for updates. 3. Make sure all your docs are in order and uploaded. 4. If you can, reach out to your local rep. They sometimes can help. 5. Join FB groups for unemployment in your state. Lots of good info there. 6. Be prepared for long wait times. The system is overwhelmed. Hang in there, OP. It's a nightmare, but you'll get through it.

Bruh, I feel you. Been there, done that. Took me 11 weeks to see a dime. Stay strong 💪

Pro tip: call right when they open. Better chance of getting through

This is why we need UBI. The current system is a joke 🤡
