Filed UI claim 2 months ago, no payments or updates. What to do?
I filed my unemployment claim two months ago and still haven't received any payments or updates. This is getting really frustrating. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? What should I do next? I'm worried about bills piling up and don't know how much longer I can wait.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been almost 3 months for me. The system is so broken rn 😤

•3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them?

•Yeah, but I can never get through. It's always busy or they hang up on me 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way!

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Send a detailed email explaining your situation. 3. Reach out to your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. 4. Check your online account daily for any updates or requests for additional info. 5. If possible, try to call first thing in the morning when they open. Don't give up! It's frustrating, but persistence pays off. Good luck!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep. Didn't even think of that.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: join Facebook groups for your state's unemployment. Sometimes they have insider tips or at least you'll feel less alone in the struggle.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/W4S1W6V2hOQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? That's steep when you're already broke from waiting on unemployment 😬

•I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get some answers. Plus I got my claim sorted out, so it paid for itself.

This is why we need to overhaul the entire unemployment system. It's a joke that people have to wait months for help when they're already in a tough spot. 🤬

•Preach! 🙌 The system was never designed to handle this many claims at once. It's like trying to use dial-up internet in 2023.

Quick question - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you first filed? If not, there's a chance your claim didn't go through properly.

•Yeah, I got an email confirmation. That's why I'm so confused about the lack of updates since then.

•Hmm, that is weird. Might be worth double-checking all the info you submitted. One wrong digit can hold things up.

Plot twist: what if we all show up at the unemployment office with lawn chairs and snacks? Make it a sit-in until they process our claims 😂

•Careful, they might hire us as new claims processors on the spot! 😅

Two months is absolutely unacceptable! I had a similar issue last year and what finally worked was filing a complaint with the Colorado Department of Labor directly through their website. There's a specific form for delayed claims processing. Also, try reaching out to Colorado Legal Aid - they have free resources for unemployment issues and can sometimes get things moving faster than going through the regular channels. Don't let them make you wait indefinitely when you need this support now!
