2 months, no UI benefits. CDLE ghosting me. Help!
I filed for unemployment benefits two months ago and still haven't received anything. It's getting really tough to pay my bills since I was the only one working in my household. Has anyone else experienced such a long wait? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information about my claim status?

Ugh, I feel you. I'm in the same boat 🚣♀️ Been waiting for almost 3 months now. The system is so backed up its ridiculous. Have you tried calling them? I've heard some people have had luck getting through if they call right when the office opens.

•I've tried calling but can never get through. It's always busy or I'm on hold forever. Did you have any luck calling them?

•Nah, no luck yet. I've been trying everyday for the past week. It's like playing the lottery at this point 🎰

•Pro tip: call at exactly 7:59am and keep redialing until you get through. Worked for me after trying for weeks!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/W4S1W6V2hOQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Got through in like 2 hours when I'd been trying for weeks. Worth every penny imo

•How does it actually work? Do they just keep redialing or what?

•From what I understand, they have some automated system that navigates the phone menu and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls your phone. Pretty clever tbh

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there are issues they need you to resolve but they don't always notify you. Worth double-checking all the tabs and making sure everything is filled out correctly.

This is getting out of hand. We need to organize and put pressure on our representatives. Who's with me? 💪

Here's what worked for me after waiting for 10 weeks: 1. Check your online account daily for any new messages or requests for information. 2. If you can, try faxing your documents instead of uploading them online. Sometimes the online system glitches. 3. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have contacts in the unemployment office and can help push your claim through. 4. Join Facebook groups for unemployment in your state. Sometimes they have insider info or tips. 5. If all else fails, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to get through on the phone. It costs money but might be worth it if you're desperate. Hang in there, OP. I know it's tough but keep pushing!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep. Didn't even think of that.

Bruh, 2 months is nothing. I've been waiting since March 2020. The system is completely FUBAR.

Has anyone tried the new chatbot on the unemployment website? I heard it can sometimes help with simple issues.

•Yeah, I tried it. It's useless for anything beyond basic questions. Just another way for them to avoid talking to us directly 🙄

Plot twist: the unemployment office is actually run by squirrels and they're just really behind on their acorn paperwork 🐿️📄
