EDD payment delayed for a month - need advice ASAP!
I've been waiting for my unemployment payment for a whole month now and I'm getting really worried. I don't know what to do anymore. The process seems so slow and I really need the money. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? Any advice on how to speed things up or what I should do next?

Man, I feel you. I was in the same boat last year. Have you tried calling EDD? Sometimes talking to an agent can help move things along.

•I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. The lines are always busy 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and start dialing at 7:59 AM. Worked for me!

Hey, I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks to talk to EDD? That's highway robbery! 😤

•I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. Plus, if you're waiting on thousands in benefits, $20 is nothing.

Have you checked your EDD account online? Sometimes there are messages or requests for additional info that can hold up your claim.

ugh the EDD is such a mess rn. I've been waiting 6 weeks for my claim to process. Apparently there's a huge backlog because of all the fraud last year. Hang in there, hopefully we'll all get paid soon! 🤞

•6 weeks? That's nothing. I'm going on 3 months now. This is ridiculous!

•Y'all need to chill. The EDD staff are doing their best with limited resources. Be patient.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD, including dates and times. 2. Check your online account daily for any updates or requests for information. 3. If you haven't already, file an appeal. This can sometimes trigger a review of your claim. 4. Contact your local state representative's office. They often have liaisons who can help push claims through. 5. Join Facebook groups or other online communities for EDD claimants. Sometimes you can get insider tips or hear about system updates. 6. If all else fails, consider using a paid service like Claimyr to get through to an agent. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

I'm sorry you're going through this. The waiting game is the worst. Make sure you're certifying for benefits every two weeks even if you're not getting paid yet. And don't lose hope!

Hey OP, hang in there. I know it's tough, but try to stay busy while you wait. Maybe pick up a side gig or learn a new skill? It helped me stay sane during my unemployment saga.
