EDD claim processed 2+ months ago, still no payment. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I filed an unemployment claim back in September/October, and it's showing as processed in the system. The problem is, I still haven't received any payment, and it's been over two months now. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? I'm starting to get worried and could really use some advice on what to do next.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried calling the EDD office? Sometimes they need a little nudge to get things moving.

•I've been trying to call, but it's impossible to get through. The lines are always busy or I get disconnected. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I mean like, set an alarm and everything. It's the only way I ever got through.

•Calling is useless these days. I spent 3 weeks trying to get through. Total waste of time 🤬

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•20 bucks to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! The system is so broken 😤

•I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. For me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a record of when you filed, any correspondence, and attempts to contact EDD. 2. Check your UI Online account for any pending tasks or messages. 3. Try contacting EDD through their online messaging system. 4. If all else fails, reach out to your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. 5. Be persistent! Don't give up. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to get things sorted out. Remember, the system is overwhelmed right now, but you will get your money eventually. Hang in there!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep if I can't get through to EDD soon.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure to check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important EDD emails end up there.

lol welcome to the club 🤡 EDD is a joke these days. I've been waiting 4 months for my appeal to go through. Good luck!

Have you checked if there's an issue with your identity verification? That held up my claim for weeks until I figured it out.

•I didn't even think of that! How did you resolve it?

•I had to upload additional documents through the UI Online portal. It was a pain, but once I did that, things started moving again.

•My cousin works for the state, not EDD directly but he heard it from someone who does. Take it with a grain of salt I guess 🤷♂️
