EDD claim stuck on "process pending" for over a month - no updates or payment. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my unemployment claim. I submitted it over a month ago and haven't seen any updates or received any payment. When I check online, it just says "process pending". I'm starting to worry there might be something wrong with my claim. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next?

I found a way to solve unemployment claim delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS4PIM2Htng

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was stuck in the same boat for weeks. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've been trying to call, but it's impossible to get through. The lines are always busy 😫

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold that way!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about 2 hours.

•$20 just to make a phone call? The system is so broken 🤮

•I know it sucks to pay, but for me it was worth it to finally get answers about my claim.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check all your info is correct online 2. Upload any additional docs they might need (even if they haven't asked) 3. Keep calling every day 4. If you can't get through, try contacting your local representative 5. Check your spam folder for emails 6. Be patient (I know it sucks) I went through this last year and it took about 6 weeks to get my first payment. The system is overwhelmed, but they'll get to you eventually. Hang in there!

I'm telling you, it's a conspiracy. They make it impossible on purpose so people just give up. Wake up sheeple! 👀

•Oh please, take off the tinfoil hat. It's just an outdated system that can't handle the volume.

•That's what they want you to think! 😤

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member or state senator? Sometimes they can help push things along.

•I hadn't thought of that. How do I find out who my representatives are?

•Just google "[your city] state representatives". Most have forms on their websites for constituent services. Good luck!

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Filed my claim 5 weeks ago and still stuck on "pending." It's so stressful not knowing what's happening. I've tried calling but like everyone else said, can't get through. Thanks for all the suggestions in this thread - I'm going to try contacting my assembly member next. We shouldn't have to jump through all these hoops just to get the benefits we're entitled to. Hang in there, hopefully we'll both get some movement on our claims soon! 🤞

•I'm in a similar situation too - filed about 6 weeks ago and still waiting. It's really frustrating how broken this system is. I've been following some of the advice from this thread and actually had some luck calling right at 8am when they open. Still took forever to get through, but at least I got to speak to someone who confirmed my claim is being processed. They said there's a backlog but it should move within the next 2-3 weeks. Don't give up! Also definitely try the assembly member route - I've heard good things about that approach from others in similar Facebook groups.

I'm dealing with a similar situation - my claim has been pending for about 3 weeks now. One thing that helped me was logging into my account and checking if there are any "action items" or document requests that might not be obvious at first glance. Sometimes they'll request additional verification docs but it's buried in the interface. Also, I found that calling the technical support line (not the main claims line) can sometimes get you through faster, and they can at least tell you if there are any obvious issues with your claim. The wait times are still brutal, but it's another option to try. Really hoping both of our claims get processed soon - this whole system needs a serious overhaul!
