DEO claim pending adjudication for 5 months, no payments received. Help!
I filed for unemployment 5 months ago and my claim is still pending adjudication. I haven't received any payments yet and it's really starting to cause financial strain. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay? Any advice on how to speed up the process or get in touch with someone who can help?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting for 4 months now. Its ridiculous how long this is taking. Have you tried calling them? I've been trying to get through for weeks but no luck.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck on hold for hours and then the call drops. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

•Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but it really worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

•It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for 6 months: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and attempts to contact them. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite the process. 3. Check your online account daily for any updates or requests for additional info. 4. If you can, try to find alternative income sources while you wait. It sucks, but it might be necessary. 5. Join Facebook groups or other online communities for your state's unemployment. Sometimes you can get insider tips there. Hang in there, OP. I know it's tough, but keep pushing!

•Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep. Didn't even think of that.

This whole system is a joke. They expect us to live on air while they take their sweet time? I'm about to lose my apartment because of this bs. 🤬

•Have you looked into rental assistance programs? Might help while you're waiting on unemployment.

Anyone else notice that ever since they "upgraded" their system, everything's been slower? Classic government efficiency 🙄

•LOL yeah, their idea of an upgrade is like putting a fresh coat of paint on a sinking ship 🚢

Hey OP, what reason did they give for the adjudication? Sometimes certain issues take longer to resolve.

•They didn't give me a specific reason. Just said it was "pending adjudication" with no other details.

•Hmm, that's frustrating. Might be worth asking about that specifically if you manage to get someone on the phone.
