2 months, no unemployment benefits. CDLE ghosting me. Anyone else?

Has anyone else been waiting forever for their unemployment benefits? It's been 2 months and I still haven't heard anything. This is getting ridiculous. I'm starting to worry about how I'm gonna pay my bills. Anyone else in the same boat or know what's going on with the unemployment office?

Ugh, I feel you. I've been waiting for almost 3 months now. It's like they've completely forgotten about us. Have you tried calling them? I've been trying to get through but it's always busy.

I've tried calling so many times, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating. How are we supposed to survive like this?

Same here. I've been calling every day for weeks. It's like they don't even want to help us. 🤬

Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through once doing that, but then they just told me to keep waiting. 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/W4S1W6V2hOQ

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 is a lot when you're already broke from waiting on unemployment.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Got through in about 2 hours instead of days of trying to call myself. Worth it if you're desperate.

Has anyone else tried this? Kinda worried it might be a scam...

Not a scam, just a service. They don't ask for any personal info, just your phone number to forward the call. But yeah, I get the skepticism.

This is absolutely unacceptable. We need to start contacting our representatives and demanding action. The unemployment office is clearly understaffed and overwhelmed, but that's no excuse for leaving people hanging for months!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there without sending notifications. Also, make sure you're still certifying every week even if you haven't been approved yet.

Yeah, I've been checking obsessively and certifying every week. Still nothing. It's like shouting into the void at this point.

I hate to be that guy, but have you considered looking for temp work while you wait? I know it sucks, but at least it's some income. Gig economy jobs saved my butt while I was waiting on my claim.

Not everyone can just pick up gig work. Some of us have health issues or other constraints. The system should work for everyone, not just those who can hustle on the side.

Fair point. I didn't mean to imply it was easy for everyone. Just trying to suggest alternatives. The system is definitely broken.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with unemployment for way too long: 1. Keep certifying every week, even if you haven't been approved. 2. Check your online account daily for updates. 3. If you can, try calling right when they open or just before they close. 4. Consider reaching out to your local state representative's office. They sometimes can help push things along. 5. Document everything. Keep a log of when you certify, call, or take any action related to your claim. 6. Join local Facebook groups or subreddits about unemployment in your state. Sometimes you can get insider tips. 7. If you're really desperate, consider using a paid service to get through on the phone, but be cautious and do your research. 8. Don't give up! It's frustrating, but persistence usually pays off eventually. Hang in there, everyone. This system is a mess, but we're all in this together. 💪

Great advice. Wish I had known all this when I first filed. Took me 4 months to get my first payment. 😭

The fact that we need a guide like this just shows how broken the system is. It shouldn't be this hard to get help when we need it.

Has anyone tried contacting their state representative? I've heard sometimes they can help speed things up.
