PFL claim filed in December - still no update. What should I do?
Hey everyone, I filed my PFL claim back in early December and I'm still waiting for an update. Has anyone else been waiting this long? I'm starting to get worried and could really use some advice on what to do next. Should I try calling them or just keep waiting?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I filed mine in November and JUST got an update last week. The waiting game is brutal. Have you tried checking your online account for any updates?

•Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I've been checking my online account every day but still nothing 😩 Did you do anything special to get your update or did it just randomly come through?

•Honestly, it just showed up out of nowhere. But I did send them an email through the contact form on their website about a week before. Maybe that nudged them? 🤷♀️

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you might be in for a long wait. I filed in October and didn't hear anything for 3 months. It's ridiculous how slow they are!

Have you tried calling them? I know its a pain, but sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel to get the grease, ya know?

•I've thought about it, but I've heard horror stories about being on hold forever. Did you have any luck getting through?

•It took a few tries, but I eventually got through. Just be prepared to spend a good chunk of your day on hold. Bring snacks lol

•Pro tip: call right when they open. The wait times are usually shorter then!

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without the endless hold times. I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it worked for me. Saved me a ton of time and headache.

•How long did it take for them to get through?

•It took about 2 hours, but I was able to do other things instead of being stuck on hold. When they got through, my phone rang and I was connected to an agent.

Here's what I've learned from my experience and research about PFL claims: • Processing times can vary wildly, from a few weeks to several months • Always keep copies of everything you submit • Check your online account regularly for updates • If you haven't heard anything after 4-6 weeks, try contacting them • Email can sometimes be more effective than calling • If you do call, be prepared for long wait times • Consider using a service like Claimyr if you're struggling to get through on the phone • Don't forget to follow up on your claim even after it's approved - sometimes payments can be delayed Hope this helps! Hang in there, OP. The system is frustrating, but you'll get through it eventually.

•For real. We pay into this system, but when we need it, it's nothing but obstacles.

Has anyone had luck with contacting their local representative about PFL issues? I've heard sometimes they can help speed things up.

•Thanks for the encouragement! It helps to know I'm not alone in this. How long did yours end up taking?

•It was about 10 weeks all told. Felt like an eternity, but it did come through eventually!
