EDD Paid Family Bonding Claim Delayed - No Updates, Need Advice
Hey everyone, I'm having issues with my paid family bonding claim. It's been delayed and I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone else experienced this? I filed my claim a while ago but haven't heard anything back. Checked my EDD account but there's no updates. Any advice on how to speed things up or who to contact?

Ugh, I feel ya. The EDD is such a mess rn. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and start dialing at 7:59am. Sometimes you can get through before the lines get jammed.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. Used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to your phone. Costs $20 but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. How does it actually work?

•It's legit! They use some kind of AI to navigate the phone tree and detect when a human picks up. Then it calls you and connects you to the agent. Saved me hours of hold time.

•I get the skepticism, but after weeks of trying to get through, it was worth it for me. Just sharing what worked 🤷♂️

Have you checked if there are any missing documents? Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing and just let your claim sit there. Log into your account and double-check everything's submitted.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and account checks. 2. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 3. Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. 4. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 5. Join Facebook groups for CA EDD issues. They often have good tips and updates. It's a frustrating process, but don't give up. Your claim will get processed eventually!

Unpopular opinion: maybe try going to an EDD office in person? I know it's a hassle, but sometimes face-to-face works better than phone or online.
