PFL Payment Delays - Anyone else waiting forever for their family bonding benefits?
Has anyone else experienced delays with their paid family bonding payments? I've been waiting for a while now and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice on how to speed up the process or who to contact?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been waiting for my payment for over a month now. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying but can never get through 😤

•I've tried calling but keep getting stuck on hold forever. It's like they don't want us to reach them 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 20 mins of waiting last week!

•Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

•Yeah, I was skeptical at first too. But I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•How long did you have to wait before they called you back?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but it was way better than being stuck on hold myself. I just went about my day and got the call when an agent was ready.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before sending out payments. Might give you an idea of where things stand.

I hate to say it, but this is pretty common rn. The system is totally overwhelmed with all the claims. My advice? Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online update. You might need it later if things get messed up.

•That's a good idea, thanks! I'll start keeping a log of everything. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Here's what worked for me to speed up the process: 1. Call first thing in the morning, right when they open. 2. If you can't get through, try emailing them. Be super specific about your case. 3. Reach out to your local state representative. They sometimes have contacts that can help. 4. Double-check all your paperwork. One tiny mistake can cause major delays. 5. If all else fails, file a complaint with the state labor board. Hang in there! It's a frustrating process, but you'll get your money eventually.

•Contacting my state rep actually worked for me too. They got things moving within a week!

lol welcome to the wonderful world of government efficiency 🤡 I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. At this point, I'll probably be back at work before I see a dime 🙃

•3 months?! That's insane. Have you tried escalating your case?

•Tried everything short of camping outside their office. Nothing seems to work. It's like shouting into the void 😫

Quick question - did you receive any kind of confirmation when you first applied? I'm about to start this process and want to know what to expect.

•Yeah, I got an email confirmation right away. But after that... radio silence 😕

PSA: There's a new online portal that's supposed to make tracking claims easier. Has anyone tried it yet? Wondering if it's actually helpful or just another useless "upgrade" 🤔
