EDD PFL Claim Delay: Finally Got Through, Any Timeline for Pending Payments?

Hey everyone, I just got off the phone with EDD about my PFL claim delay. Finally got through after trying for days! Anyone else have any luck getting an update on their pending payments? Did they give you a timeline or specific steps to resolve it?

Congrats on getting through! I've been trying for weeks with no luck. Did they give you any useful info? I'm still waiting on 6 weeks of payments and starting to get desperate ๐Ÿ˜ซ

Thanks! They didn't give me an exact timeline, but said they're working through a backlog. Suggested I keep certifying and checking my online account for updates. Hang in there!

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Feels like we're all just stuck in limbo. Appreciate the update tho!

6 weeks?! That's rough. I'm only at 3 and already freaking out. This system is so broken ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. How does it actually work? Is it legit?

It's legit! You pay, give them your number, and they call EDD for you. When an agent picks up, they connect you. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 just to make a phone call? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken we have to pay just to talk to someone ๐Ÿ™„

I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting hours trying to get through. This solved it in one go.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Keep certifying every week, even if you're not getting paid. 2. Check your online account daily for updates. 3. If you get through on the phone, ask for a ticket number for your case. 4. Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, what they said. 5. If you're really stuck, contact your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite things. 6. Be patient but persistent. The system is overwhelmed but they are working through claims. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. ๐Ÿ’ช

Contacting my assembly member was a game-changer. Got my issue resolved in a week after months of nothing.

anyone else notice that the edd website is always "undergoing maintenance" when you actually need to use it? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Pro tip: Try accessing the site late at night or early morning. Less traffic, fewer issues.

I'm so fed up with EDD. Been waiting 12 weeks for my claim to process. How is this legal? We need to organize and demand better service!

Has anyone had luck with the new online chat feature? I've been in the queue for hours and keep getting disconnected ๐Ÿ˜ค

Same here. It's like playing a game of chance. Sometimes you get through, sometimes you don't. Keep trying!

I actually had success with it last week! Got connected in about 30 mins. Maybe I just got lucky?

Quick question - do PFL claims typically take longer to process than regular unemployment? This is my first time dealing with this and I'm lost af

In my experience, PFL claims can be a bit more complex. They often require more documentation, which can slow things down. Hang in there!

yall ever feel like were all just clowns in EDDs circus? ๐Ÿคก we jump through hoops, balance on a tightrope of bureaucracy, and pray for the day our claims stop being pending and start being paid ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

LOL this is too accurate. Don't forget the part where we're juggling bills while they "review" our claims for the 100th time ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™‚๏ธ
