EDD PFL Application Stuck in Pending for 1+ Month - Need Help Reaching an Agent!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last year. It took me forever to get through to someone. Have you tried calling right when they open? That sometimes worked for me.

The EDD system is such a joke. I swear they make it impossible to reach anyone on purpose. Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member? Sometimes they can help push things through.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for way too long: 1. Be persistent. Call multiple times a day if you have to. 2. Have all your info ready when you call. They'll ask for your SSN, claim ID, etc. 3. Be polite but firm with the agents. They're overworked too. 4. If one agent can't help, politely ask to speak with a tier 2 specialist. 5. Keep a log of all your calls and who you spoke with. 6. Check your online account regularly for updates. 7. If all else fails, contact your local representative or senator's office. Hope this helps! Question for the OP: Did you receive any kind of confirmation when you submitted your application? Sometimes they send an email or letter with next steps.

Not to be that guy, but did you check your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from EDD end up there.
