Quick question - does anyone know if you can split up the 8 weeks? Like take 4 weeks now and 4 weeks later?
Yep, you can! As long as you use all 8 weeks within the first year of birth/adoption/foster placement.
Awesome, thanks! That's super helpful to know.
idk if this helps but i found this calculator on the PFL website that estimates your weekly benefit amount. saved me a bunch of math headaches lol
Oh that's perfect! Do you have a link?
sure thing! here ya go: [insert fake link here] hope it helps!
Hey OP, hang in there. I know it's tough, but it will get sorted eventually. In the meantime, have you looked into any temporary work or gig jobs? Might help tide you over until this gets resolved.
Thanks for the encouragement. I've been trying to find some odd jobs, but it's not easy. I'll keep looking though.
Plot twist: what if we all showed up at their office? They cant ignore us then! 😂
Ive been dealing with edd for months now and let me tell you. its a nightmare. hang in there buddy were all in the same boat
Quick question - are you sure you're using the right website? There are some scam sites out there that look legit but are just trying to steal your info.
Yeah, I double-checked and I'm definitely on the official EDD site. Good looking out though!
am i the only 1 who thinks its ridiculous we gotta jump thru all these hoops just to access our own accounts? 🤡 edd needs to get their act together fr
Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in the stone age or somethin
To be fair, they're dealing with millions of accounts and trying to prevent fraud. But yeah, it could definitely be more user-friendly.
Hey OP, any luck yet? Keep us posted!

Ive been in the same boat. its frustrating af. Make sure you document EVERYTHING. Every call, every person you talk to. You might need it if you have to appeal.

Have you checked their website? Sometimes you can upload documents directly there instead of waiting on the phone.

•I tried, but the system kept giving me an error. That's why I need to talk to someone directly.

•Ugh, classic SDI. Their website is always buggy. Guess you're stuck with the phone then. Good luck!
