EDD nightmare: 6 calls deep trying to get military leave pay. Any success stories?
I've called EDD 6 times now trying to get paid for my military leave and recomputation. Anyone else dealing with this? It's so frustrating to keep calling and not getting anywhere. Any advice on how to actually get through to someone who can help?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through to EDD for weeks about my claim. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits. Have you tried calling right when they open? I've heard that can sometimes work.

•Yeah, I've tried calling at opening, during lunch, right before close... no luck. It's like playing the lottery but with worse odds 😫

•Pro tip: call on Wednesdays. For some reason, I've had better luck midweek. Might be worth a shot!

Hey, I actually found a way to get through! There's this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that calls EDD for you, waits on hold, and then connects you when a real person picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just some scam?

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. I was desperate and took a chance. Got through in about 2 hours. Way better than days of calling myself.

•Can confirm, I used it too. Felt kinda weird paying to talk to a government agency, but it saved me so much time and frustration.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help push your claim through. Worth a shot!

Military leave claims are the worst! I went through this last year. Make sure you have all your military orders and pay stubs ready. They always seem to 'lose' the paperwork. 🙄

•Thanks for the heads up. I've got everything scanned and ready to go. Just need to actually talk to someone who can process it 😅

Here's what worked for me: 1. Call exactly at 8:01 AM 2. If you hear 'Thank you for calling,' hang up and redial 3. Keep doing this until you hear the full menu 4. Press 1, then 2, then 4 It took me about 30 tries, but I finally got through. Good luck!

•I swear, dealing with EDD is like playing a video game on extreme difficulty. Thanks for the cheat codes! 🎮

Have you considered filing a complaint with the state ombudsman? They're supposed to help when government agencies aren't responsive. Might be worth a shot if you've already called 6 times.

OMG THIS IS SO RELATABLE 😭 I've been trying to get my military leave pay sorted for months. EDD is a black hole where claims go to die. Sending you good vibes, hope you get through soon!

Hot take: the whole system is designed to be frustrating so people give up. Stay strong and keep fighting for what you're owed! 💪

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're hoping we'll just forget about the money they owe us.

•Conspiracy theory: EDD is actually run by robots programmed to say 'We're experiencing higher than normal call volume' on loop 🤖
