EDD Military Leave Pay: Filed 3x, Called 6x, Still No Resolution. Help!

I've called the military service department 6 times now trying to get paid for my leave and recomputation. I've filed my claim three times already. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice on how to actually get through to someone who can help?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat, been trying to get my military leave pay sorted for months. It's like they're purposely making it difficult 🙄

Same here! Its ridiculous how they treat vets. We serve our country and this is what we get in return? 😤

have you guys tried contacting your local representatives? sometimes they can help push things through faster

That's a good idea, I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it actually does. I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate and gave it a try. Got through in about 2 hours.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's highway robbery! 🤬

I get it, but after wasting days trying to get through, it was worth it for me. Your mileage may vary 🤷‍♂️

Here's what worked for me: 1. Gather all your documents: leave orders, DD-214, pay stubs, etc. 2. Write a detailed letter explaining your situation 3. Fax everything (yes, fax!) to their office 4. Follow up with calls every other day It took about 3 weeks, but I finally got it resolved. Don't give up!

Thanks for the detailed advice! I'll definitely try this approach. Did you use a specific fax number?

Yep, I used the fax number listed on their website for military claims. Make sure to keep your fax confirmation as proof!

Have you tried reaching out to your unit's admin? Sometimes they can help navigate the bureaucracy or have contacts that can expedite things.

That's a good idea, I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm an EDD employee (not in the military department tho). The system is super backed up right now due to budget cuts and staff shortages. My advice: be persistent, document EVERYTHING, and if possible, try to get an in-person appointment at a field office.

Wow, thanks for the insider info! Any tips on how to snag an in-person appointment?

Check the website early in the morning, like 6 AM. New slots usually open up then. Good luck!
